ledditor,

So will this comment sync to the lemmy.ml instance once it back up ?

ledditor,

I remember google also sabotaging firefox by introducing subtle bugs which breaks google sites on firefox but works perfectly on chrome.

ledditor,

another docker user here. Why does our thumbnails look the same :) I know there is something wrong with my setup. I made a post here https://leddit.minnal.icu/post/1045 but still no idea.

ledditor,

I am not a bot... :D

ledditor,

ha ha. I got tired solving google captchas when using VPN and switched to BING.which surprisingly is not bad. I feel Bing is much responsive than google.

ledditor,

reddit is leaking :))

ledditor,

Good News.... I have a handful of accounts in multiple instances :D

ledditor,

Nice job. But not available in my country (Germany). Looks really nice and familiar to reddit apps.

ledditor,

Thanks!! Would be nice if you can setup the f-droid app.

ledditor,

jetzt klappt es!! Danke!!

ledditor,

runs very smooth on my 5 year old phone. Some suggestions for improvement

  • With All selected not all feeds were showing up on the sidebar
  • Adding a compact layout for sidebar and comments
ledditor,

Yes, hopefully federation, apps and moderation improves.

ledditor,

Ja, mit Samsung ist es sehr einfach, die 112 vom Lockscreen aus anzuwählen, wenn man neben dem Telefon schläft.

ledditor,

I am getting an HTML document as as response for images instead of the image. `

ledditor,

Not sure if it is my reverse proxy or cloudflare. Anyway when i request an image https://leddit.minnal.icu/pictrs/image/bb98aeae-cb5b-4b1a-a2bb-525179d32934.png , I am actually getting an html document which includes this string window.isoData = {"path":"/pictrs/image/bb98aeae-cb5b-4b1a-a2bb-525179d32934.png ........ very long script...

ledditor,

Something unexpected happened. Added HTML to a comment broke the page for me. page source appeared on top of the page and could not interact with any UI elements.

ledditor, (edited )

Solution: I was using Nginx Proxy Manager and cache assets was turned on. Today I read the release notes about lemmy 18.0 and decided to turn of caching and voila...

TLDR: Turn off caching at the reverse proxy.

ledditor,

Remember the house always wins. We can play at our casinos today thanks to fediverse.

Lemmy (and the fediverse) and GDPR: a clusterfuck waiting to happen?

So, I’m kinda new to this Lemmy thingy and the fediverse. I like the fediverse from a technological standpoint. However, I think that, if we gain more and more traction, Lemmy (and by extend the entire fediverse) is a GDPR clusterfuck waiting to happen. With big and expensive repercussions…...

ledditor,

"Exchange with non-compliant platforms can be restricted based on a case-by-case analysis. ": I quote this from an article from European data protection supervisor website https://edps.europa.eu/data-protection/our-work/publications/techdispatch/2022-07-26-techdispatch-12022-federated-social-media-platforms_en. I think the platform will evolve to solve the existing issues such as The right to be forgotten.
