Yes, I’d like to file an official complaint. What’s the P.O.Box number to post it too ? :-) On a more serious note, for OP @GFGJewbacca and others, Garuda Linux turns out to have their own Lemmy instance : lemmy.garudalinux.org and well as a community here : lemmy.ml/c/garudalinux Have fun!
Garuda goes for the looks and the gamers I would say. I’ve tried Garuda before and it was nice that it was possible to roll-back installation versions but on my ancient test hardware it didn’t go too well, also not with rolling back. Manjaro got quite some bad press in the past for good reasons. Here you can compare a few descriptions for all of them :
I’ve thinking about ditching my Protonmail email address with Posteo since I need IMAP support (because I hate using the Protonmail app) and honestly paying for Proton Mail Plus didn’t worth the money because they are pushing me to buy the Protonmail Unlimited but I don’t need all those capabilities nor would I use them...
Or in other words is my new #showerthought suspicion that some computers in business or organisation offices are unintentionally part of spam botnets valid or not ?
I use Google tasks for my todo list. This GNOME extension is nice and minimal and just what I’m looking for, and it uses todo.txt. Is there an easy way to sync my changes with Google, similar to how the GNOME calendar app does?...
Why would you use Linux when you literally sync your todos in plain text to big brother?
Well. Linus Torvalds himself is or was using Google Gmail, and with the popularity and dependency on smart phones it is not that surprising to see lots of Linux maintainers and developers use Google products. Heck, the famous Ken Thompson even works for Google.
I used to associate btrfs with the word unreliable for years based on what I’ve read here and there, while ext4 appears to be rock solid. Pointing to sources for this is not easy though. Here’s a start.
ext4 (fourth extended file system) is an open source disk filesystem and most recent version of the extended series of filesystems. It is the primary file system in use by many Linux systems rendering it to be arguably the most stable and well tested file system supported in Linux.

I have an HP Stream 11 that I want to use for word processing and some light web browsing - I’m a writer and it’s a lightweight laptop to bring to the library or coffee shop to write on. Right now it’s got Windows and it’s unusable due to lack of hard drive space for updates. Someone had luck with Xubuntu, but it’s...
If you set up MX records inside your intranet you can go for a really simple setup with postfix. www.postfix.org/VIRTUAL_README.html#localAfter that you should be able to use mutt on the command line via ssh on your postfix virtual server to read the email. If you want webmail though, things will take more time and reading howtos ;-)
