lenninscjay,

nope, when I try to submit it just spins and spins. Even when I’m doing it from another instance. Seems to be just that community (as I was able to post in !support. Looks like a few others have had success in creating posts but I don’t understand why I can’t.

lenninscjay,

yeah I get that, I’m trying to get some content in there but I’ve been having technical issues with only that /c. Is it possible the community creater/mod clicked a setting to not allow others to post?

lenninscjay,

just tried. Doesn’t let me create a post from a new broswer, with a cleared broswer cache, or eve on a new computer. Next test is VPN… maybe my IP is somehow banned? How can I see a /c’s preferred language? I assume it’s English.

lenninscjay,

Maybe it’s easier if all your resources aren’t slowed down by board meetings solely for the purpose of “how can we monetize this”

That’s what happens when you put profit ahead of function. Putting the cart before the horse something something

lenninscjay,

From launch?! That’s huge! I’ll probably buy it anyway at some point on sale if it is as good as their last.

lenninscjay,

I wish something in the license of activity pub could have prevented corporate espionage. Make no mistake, meta will absolutely dominate and kill off the fediverse

lenninscjay,

I’m no fan of a lot of what isreal does but yes, sabbath and Manamakahn seem to be both middle eastern and pushing their articles hard around here.

lenninscjay,

agreed. as others have stated. Transparency. But also, new software, new tech (in a way, the fediverse/activity pub), and hopefully a new beginning. Happy to be here. If not technically on the ground level (lemmy has been around for a short time before we knew reddit was going to implode), close to it!

lenninscjay, (edited )

Can’t forget homeworld 3!

Edit: I was late to the party, hw3 got pushed to 2024. So I’ll change my answer to the expense game, which comes in July.

Also, hard agree on star field, and CS2!

Edit2: armored core 6

lenninscjay,

Same, at the time I made the comment I didn’t even realize they had pushed it back. Cut it a little close to release didn’t they?

lenninscjay,

I thought nullsec belt ratting died long ago. Are you talking about anoms ect.? Sorry, can’t really help you as I’m LS and have avoided PVE for a very long time. Only recently dipping my toes into abyssals (a bit of a hypocrit as I do disagree with the instanced content)

The best Lemmy app so far is "Wefwef" hands down. If you loved Apollo you'd love this.

The app has an amazing experience so far, because it feels like I'm just using Apollo, heaps of baked in features that no other app has so far. It's a web app so installation is pretty forward. Much love to the Devs!...

lenninscjay,

Thanks, installed. But still rooting for Memmy too! Love everyone who is stepping up to the plate for the mobile app scene!

lenninscjay,

Man, I’m so torn. I want to support them and buy but they’ve just burned a lot of good will releasing less than a 1/3 of the features they teased and for such a cost in performance.

KSP 1 has more features and can look almost as good with mods right? They’ve just bungled this so badly.

I’m waiting for them to take the cash and abandon the game. Not the same squad it was…

lenninscjay,

Memmy is updated almost daily at this point, the App has come a long way just this week even

lenninscjay,

reddit is panicking, trying to claw in anything they can before they have nothing.

lenninscjay,

agreed

lenninscjay,

Sorry, I'm new here. Isn't Radio Sputnik Russian state media? Which could be considered propaganda, which would break rule 3?

Also, is this some of the "tankie" content that lemmy opponents have been citing? I know this is lemmy.ml and that this may be the type of content they want here, so I hope I'm not offending anyone.

lenninscjay,

reported, are the mods actively removing tankie content? I would suppose since it violates the rule.

lenninscjay,

“The ongoing strike, spurred by Huffman’s plan to charge fees to third-party apps that serve up Reddit content,”

Then it goes on to talk about commercial AIs scraping reddit data through their api for deep learning for free.

But the reality is people weren’t upset about the api charge, they were upset at the exorbitant price they released. There are so many other ways to be fair and to stop commercial use if that was really an issue. Plus, I wouldn’t be surprised if reddit is being scraped without the api from the front facing website anyway.

Then, reddit double downed and spez just made a complete ass of himself. I could have done a better job as CEO, that guy is unqualified and delusional. If he stays at the helm reddit will surely sink

lenninscjay,

This is what’s beautiful in open source. I wonder if any one has had any luck making the old.Reddit nesting style yet

lenninscjay,

Amazon has been going downhill. I routinely receive items that were previously worn/returned, wrong size, knockoffs that should have been genuine ect.

More to the point, has any one read what AI writes? In my experience it’s either a lot of meaningless filler or series of internet scraped facts strung together without really any flow.

Confession: in true you know what fashion, I didn’t read the article

lenninscjay,

this is the way

lenninscjay,

Open source, so I’m sure someone can. Platform is very young - I suspect that as it gains popularity, more people will contribute to source, and we’ll eventually see more options for customization. Both at the user level and the instance level giving people more reasons to choose other instances over just population of it.
