Since Lemmy is a terrible influence, I’ve been convinced to give RSS another go as a means to get at the news that interests me interesting stuff that I’d otherwise miss. It’s actually working surprisingly well, so I thought I’d share some gamedev-specific resources that I’ve subscribed to so far....
I’m a big fan of Game Maker’s Toolkit channel on YouTube by Mark Brown. It’s not so much game “news” though. But high quality video essays on games and how they are made.
I just learned about the Do Not Track standard, which seems like a much better solution. Just tell your browser once that you don’t want to be tracked, and websites are required to respect that. Rather than each website implementing its own banner UI.
The migrate subreddits helper is great, but I’ve got way too many subs to go through adding them one at a time. A “migrate all” button would be awesome :)
+1 Seeing every commenter name in blue throws me off every time. In my mind, blue is for OP, orange is for myself, green is for mods/admins, purple is for the app developer, and black/gray for everyone else. Or some variant like that, I don’t remember exactly which colors Apollo used for reference.
Lol, just yesterday I got a YouTube recommendation for “Growing rat neurons to play video games” with the thumbnail “Can this play Doom?” So yeah, things might be getting kinda weird…

Feature Request: Use a different colour to indicate the usernames of OP and you in the comments
It might help a bit. I remember Infinity used to do this.
