I'm once again thinking about Fediverse groups... Why aren't we using them more on ? 🤔 They seem like a great way to find & reach more fans across instances, considering group posts can be seen by everyone who follows that group, regardless of federation (unlike hashtags).

So far I'm aware of @ofmd, @izzycanyon and @gentlebeard – are there any other -specific groups?
Might make sense to have one for and/or too? Thoughts?

You may be wondering what the point of a group like this is if you can just follow hashtags & almost every post that ends up in here will be tagged and/or .

The difference is that with hashtags, you only see posts from people on servers federated with your own (i.e. at least one person on their server follows someone on yours or vice versa), but group posts can be seen by all members, regardless of federation! 🙌
