the hard left have been purged by Starmer, they are soft on Europe for electoral reasons.
The hard left have been removed by Starmer, you’re right. But you can’t avoid the fact that the electoral calculus for the Labour party is to appease the massive hard left northern voter base and stay quiet on anything that realigns the UK with the EU.
They might want to win Southern Tory Brexit votes, but that doesn’t mean they want to loose Northern Labour Brexit votes. Starmer doesn’t want a repeat of 2019 and he’s happy to sacrifice closer EU ties as a cost of that potential win. The question is… Are you?
You have to take what the NYT prints with a pinch of salt. As you do with every outlet these days. They all have their biases and they all want to game their potential readers into picking up a copy or clicking a link. We ourselves come with our own biases that only fuels this poor quality journalism in the long run. We click and share the links that appeal to our confirmation biases.
It’s pretty rare to find a high quality neutral outlet that reports on more than the local level these days. Just the facts, what’s wrong with that? Facts don’t sell unfortunately, we need the opinions too.
Read multiple sources to get a broader understanding I suppose. But who the fuck has time for that, eh? Ooo a poodle tee hee hee hee hee 🐩!

These are hardly far right parties. Yes they are right of John Major (well Truss Book are, Cameron not so much) but the framing that they’re far right parties is wrong and misleading.
If parties are too extreme one way or the other the electoral won’t vote for them. That’s my point.

That’s how I do it. Lightly fret (as in don’t push down too hard with your fretting hand) then it’s all in the rhythmic movement of your strumming hand. I just barre as many strings as my fingers can manage. I don’t form actual chords. It’s a kind of loosey goosey thing.
Play around with it, you’ll get it eventually. Combine it with a wah pedal for absolute 70s funk.
