for some unknown reason, today my Apple Watch and phone both thought I was standing in Elkhart, Indiana. I got my phone to geolocate properly to where I actually am in Oregon, but my watch even after rebooting is showing me the wrong temps, wrong weather forecast, and the wrong sunrise/sunset times.

@sparklingblue Yeah, but every EV and plugin hybrid I've driven does automatically put on your brake lights when decelerating over a certain limit, but I always check because I don't want people to rear-end me.

@sparklingblue whoa that's weird, I do know the BMW i3 and Teslas and Rivians and my Jeep PHEV trip the lights if you lift your foot off the gas, but not immediately, only when they're doing real brake regeneration.

It’s striking to read an article about a 11yo being shot in the chest by a cop unprovoked (cop is on paid leave pending investigation) versus an overactive cop at a Buc-ees who puts a white guy in cuffs for a few minutes will likely result in immediate firing of the cop.

If you watch the Buc-ees video, they mention the police chief talking about charging the arresting officer immediately before investigation! Have you ever heard police leaders say anything remotely similar during the aftermath of any police shooting, ever?

I’m a huge fan of Hot Ones but today’s episode with Jason Sudeikis was unfortunately disappointing. No real deep questions, barely any Ted Lasso stuff. I wonder if Sudeikis had a list of off-limits topics or if Sean Evans was too afraid to ask about something interesting/invasive like maybe compare Ted Lasso’s divorce arc with Jason’s split with Olivia Wilde https://youtube.com/watch?v=sIdR332rqs8

Ok, maybe that kind of question is too much but maybe ask Jason where he goes mentally during Ted Lasso scenes where the character talks about his dad being dead. Something of substance, y’know?

I think they talked about hot sauce recipes more than actual feelings. Usually the interview skews way into feelings, but not this outing.

I kinda love how Waze is basically a "snitch out the cops, reveal all their secret hiding spots for expensive speed traps" app that's scarily accurate and useful on long road trips. I wonder when the police unions are going to go after Google for that.

I played Zelda breath of the wild incessantly for 2-3 months when it came out, even getting every korok and finishing every quest. Then I got a Playstation 5 and the Switch gathered dust for a few years.

I started playing Tears of the kingdom last week and I dislike the button layout and controls so much I haven't played it for more than an hour. The PS5 spoiled me with better hardware and controllers.

The PS5 hardware is so much better that I re-bought a Switch skill game that was millisecond-timing based and I couldn't get past the middle levels of it, but on the PS5, I could not only get past those same levels but ace them to the point I was in the top ten in the world for scores.

@kfury this was the early 60s when Taco Bell was still new and my mom insisted until the day she died that she invented their burrito folding techniques and had to teach it to everyone
