I will continue saying that free software would suck less if free software had more ideology, not less. If free software embodied more leftist beliefs, it would find itself probably less funded, but also much more resilient against such garbage infiltration.
Of course instead what we got is the open source movement, because what free software really needed was less ideology, that's really helped things
People made fun of the bixby button, but after 4 years of using an iPhone I still haven't figured out how to remember the convoluted button combo to force restart it for it's once a week deadlock
The courage in turning a power button into a complex input method should not have been rewarded
It's not that tech has a unique fascism problem, it's that the mainstream has a cowardice problem and no one is willing to call a spade a spade as long as it's polite and keeps its nazi shit outside professional circles.
The consequences of pro-car and anti-bike lane policies and opinions of the CDU, the SPD, and the general German society and police force is murder, and the politicians are as much at fault as this murderous driver was
Finally got past the early bit in botw that had me bouncing off the game for the last 3 years, and wow, I totally see why people like it, starting about 10 hours and 3 major quests in! I hope Nintendo takes their time with a new console, I still have so many of their games to play on the switch.
@janl got to Purah and then I kept either getting killed by enemies or weather no matter where I went, and the game really did not point me anywhere helpful. Finally ran into a fish person when I picked it up this weekend and suddenly I've done a divine beast and actually felt like progress was being made despite dying.
Now I'm a bit lost again after all that, but I no longer feel completely denied any means of progression cause I don't die every 5 minutes just from exploring.
Is there a tolerable set of earplugs/wireless headphones combo to wear to bed? I'd like the freedom to fall asleep to audiobook recordings of books I've read without forcing my partner to listen to them, but anything bigger than very small earplugs seems impossible to comfortably wear to bed. I don't need incredible battery life, just about 30-45 minutes and competent noise reduction that doesn't depend on battery.
@janl I find it impossible to sleep while wearing anything like that around my head, but I do have an easy and free way of testing this out, so ta, I'll see if this might work for me.
After only 2 weeks of having an Apple Watch I've had it fail to charge several times, in all cases seemingly because the wireless charger crashed, and this is why I think the future we live in is just deeply disappointing
usb-c spoiled me so much, being able to make sure that any usb-c cable and brick works with any usb-c device is so much better than looking through a pile of powerbricks that all look similar enough with similar enough plugs and all say nintendo and none are interchangeable unless you like magic smoke
I hate how tempted this makes me to upgrade iphones, as much as the lack of a mini will make for a very uncomfortable upgrade. Seriously, fuck lightning
Everybody who complains about the overuse of the word fascism and claims that it weakens the meaning of the word to describe states on the path and politicians aiding fascism as fascist has without question unironically called feminists "feminazis" and talked about the threat of "left fascism" because all they want is an unchanging status quo that has a hierarchy, and they'd rather fascism than true liberty.
