Maaaaaan, I do not miss the times when I was developing customer-hosted software. With the shitty SaaS model, we can at least crank up the number of nodes and Bob's your uncle, with the self-hosted software we just had to do the most pedantic microoptimizations because the customer was hosting the thing on an overcooked potato.
I much prefer the MacBooks, even the Intel ones that, judging by their temperature and loudness, probably have a nuclear reactor and a jet engine inside.
@me Not sure that tracks, considering files and folders are still a basic assumption even in Android. The same can't be said about cursive at any point in my life or rotary phones after the late 90s when the changeover to DTMF happened about as completely as it's going to happen.
