I work with an #IndigenousLanguage community in the US on developing #languageTech. I am learning to improve my #coding and I want to know everything about your languages and your #pets. A beautiful, fun day playing with my dog at the park turned into a terrifying evening emergency vet visit. Literally thought she was dying when she could barely stand up, vomited, and fully lost control of her bladder. The “good” news is the vet is fairly certain she has marijuana intoxication, which isn’t fatal and should resolve in 12-24 hours. After fluids & anti-nausea meds we’re home & she is resting in her crate. No idea how/where she ingested thc. Poor pup. 😢#DogsOfMastodon

It was too dark on tonight's walk for there to be walkies photos - but we did get run-up-on by a super fluffy off-leash dog named Barclay, and we heard a great horned owl.

Now we're getting ready for snoozles.

Last night, in the wee hrs, got the hiccups. Such is my brain that I immediately began to obsess about possible cataclysmic reasons for this, and we were all up for several hours staring at him and smooching him and, for especially, trying to comfort everyone.

We are somewhat tired this morning. Nobody's hiccuping anymore.

@Axomamma I definitely agree that they're a lot more dangerous than coyotes - these were far enough away and we were already heading in the other direction, so it wasn't too scary. We couldn't even smell them!

We did watch very carefully the rest of the way home.

@Linkshaender I don't know enough about EWBs to be sure, but I'd guess that our peccaries are, in fact, smaller and less dangerous.

These kids are a hazard if you scare 'em, which is pretty easy to do by accident. They're probably the most dangerous large mammals in the area fwiw.

But more bumbling than aggressive? Maybe?

What do you have to do to get a EWB to attack you? Call him 'ungraceful'?
