You have to laugh … I remember Glastonbury, up to my knees in mud - it’s all part of the fun. Having said that, it’s unlikely turn into a survival situation in a field in Somerset, so not really that comparable …
All I can picture is hundreds of artists designing some of the weirdest and coolest escape vehicles we have ever seen. I hope everyone is safe and not stuck for too long, but the creative ingenuity has got to be next-level with that crowd.
Shipwreck hunters have discovered the intact remains of a schooner that sank in Lake Michigan in 1881 and is so well-preserved it still contains the crew’s possessions in its final resting spot miles from Wisconsin’s coastline....
U.S. Supreme Court Justice Amy Coney Barrett told attendees at a judicial conference in Wisconsin on Monday that she welcomed public scrutiny of the court. But she stopped short of commenting on whether she thinks the court should change how it operates in the face of recent criticism....
The public has a long history of being unable to move the Supreme Court. She just enjoys it more if we all scream and yell while they strip us of our civil rights. This is a Supreme Court Justice telling us to yell all we want, no one is coming to save us.
I have seen this picture described 100 ways in 100 minutes, but yours is superb. If you tapped his shoulder right now, do you think he would launch himself 10 feet into the air?
A big wooded area for various encounters. My heroes rescued little magical leemurs from some Gnoll poachers in this forest. I drew it as 40x40, but I ran it as 80x80 and I think it looked decent. Enjoy, my fellow GMs.
How can you look around at the world we are living in and have any hope for the long-term future. I am 39 and had already ditched the notions of children or retirement. But now I am rethinking pets as they can’t be guaranteed food and comfort for the next 10+years. We are so screwed. I feel horrible for the younger generations and I believe whatever society exists after the climate reckoning will look back on us as hedonistic monsters.
Unfortunately we are hitting the spongebob-diaper-meme phase of things where wildfires and atmospheric rivers are just all around the globe with increasing frequency and intensity. Count yourself lucky if you aren’t viewing it personally yet. Nowhere will be safe forever.
Yeah, it’s wild how much denial we’re in about this as a society. Neurological damage was widespread. I personally contracted Covid twice (that I know about) and had noticable difficulty with memory and keeping my train of thought. Something that I never had problems with previously. I think for a lot of people, the difference might not be that noticeable, and therefor is being ignored. I was a hypervigilant stress knot all my life. So now I just have even more anxiety because I can’t remember the entire grocery list in my head anymore.
At a time when Americans increasingly want pricey SUVs and trucks rather than small cars, the Mirage remains the lone new vehicle whose average sale price is under 20 grand — a figure that once marked a kind of unofficial threshold of affordability. With prices — new and used — having soared since the pandemic, $20,000 is...
Southwest Airlines on Tuesday said it will appeal a Texas federal judge’s unusual order requiring three of its senior lawyers to attend “religious liberty training” by a prominent conservative Christian legal group.
I will stay if you all stay. The site we want is the one with the people. I got sick of talking to bots and seeing ads disguised as social commentary. I would love to have a place to learn and socialize without constantly being bought and sold.
If we discover the means to travel faster than light, but researching and developing the technology means that the Earth is destroyed in just a few decades, should the technology still be pursued?
Edit: A bunch of yall don’t seem to grasp the concept of a theoretical question
