melisdrawing,

Dude, you were taking a calculated risk before, and the calculations have changed. Good on you for adapting to this very real threat to our collective well-being.

melisdrawing,

I also remember the absurdity of that case giving him a sympathetic reputation. Like, even people that hated Clinton saw it was crazy to impeach him over something so… intimate. I am worried that puting so much focus on sexually shaming TFG and ignoring the actual crime commited is gonna work out badly. Dude used campaign contributions to settle a personal matter, but har har mushroom-dick.

melisdrawing,

That is insane. It implies over $100 in debt to BNPL per capita.

melisdrawing,

Seconding because the series is fantastic. Haven’t read the book either but Jared Harris was captivating in the show.

melisdrawing,

That’s the scene I needed right now. Thank you.

melisdrawing,

Omg, Liz Lemon is gorgeous! Such ferocity.

melisdrawing,

Saw it in Lake Placid, New York and it was incredible. Clouds were just wispy and it broke right through. The bands of shadow really confused my eyes but it was so cool. Great picture!

melisdrawing,

I am so glad I waited for streaming on this one. It was fine, but way longer than it needed to be and convuluted as hell. I am glad to not be alone. That movie sniffs its own farts.

It wasn't just the goblins — is J.K. Rowling doing Holocaust denial now? (forward.com)

The most famous forms of Holocaust denial and revisionism tend to focus on Jews, casting doubt, for example, on how many were exterminated in the camps. But denying the impact the Nazis had on the other groups they targeted, including queer and trans people, disabled people and Romani people, is still Holocaust denial. Maybe...

melisdrawing,

Damn, the kids ARE alright. That’s awesome.

melisdrawing,

Yessss, I am rewatching it right now and it’s been long enough that I can’t believe how good it is… again.

melisdrawing,

He says he saw the orca, Starboard, swim by with the shark’s liver in its mouth. I am so confused. They really take one organ and jet? They don’t eat the rest of the shark? Any whale biologists around?

melisdrawing,

Oh you wonder why I always dress in black? Why you never see bright colors on my back? And why does my appearance seem to have a somber tone? Well there’s a reason for the things that I have on.

AVATAR - Netflix Adaptation (i.imgur.com)

Just finished watching the live action and i absolutely loved it. This is best in quality and Albert Kim (program creator) proved he’s a fan. This show got everything and felt bit of rushed from the cartoon. But they beautifully condensed the story we saw on 20 episodes into 8 episodes. Gordon Cormier portrayed Aang so well. I...

melisdrawing,

Honestly, I went in very skeptical and it won me over early with Sokka. The only thing I didn’t love was the crazy texturing on Appa and all of the animals really. They felt overly detailed and otherwordly. The bending effects, set & prop designs, and performances are fantastic though. Will be excited for season 2.

melisdrawing,

Yup, they’ve done studies on this. Having a conversation while driving and having to respond to those two things at once is a strain on yo brain.

melisdrawing,

Hard agree. I was also blown away by how perfect the casting on Sokka is. I finished the series today and grew to like Aang, Katara and Zuko a lot more. The casting on Ozai and Iro are excellent too. There’s a lot of fan service, but it is done with so much joy and love I can’t be mad. Will happily watch the rest of the series if it gets made.

melisdrawing,

Right?! Very hard to move into a role last inhabited my Mark Hamill. Daniel Dae Kim is fantastic.

melisdrawing,

My mom was always on weird diets growing up and never let us have real butter and she never seasoned anything. Now my sister and I, adults, have adopted a French-level respect for butter in all things. I am fat but enjoy my food a lot more now that it tastes of food.

melisdrawing,

I pushed too quickly on my french press and an eruption of hot coffee water shot up the sleeve of my robe, which trapped it against my arm long enough to burn the skin. I am hoping for no blister, but I have a 4cm red triangle on my forearm now.

melisdrawing,

Same with the ‘getting better ideas in person’ bit. He means he can’t take credit for others’ work if everything is documented.

melisdrawing,

How about a bag with a big dollar sign on it? I even worked at a bank for years and never saw one.

melisdrawing,

I love how much I relate to this comment. That game is so silly and delightful.
