Had a blocked catheter this morning - no output for three hours. Thoroughly impressed with the response of the local district nurse team who had someone out to sort me out within an hour of being called.

Went to the enormous Exeter Sainsbury's today and got new slippers, fancy cat fud for the #catpest, bin liners and thinly sliced escalopes of beef, with which I am making roulades, after the German fashion. This involves much beating of the beef, cocktail sticks, bacon and sweet and sour gherkins.

I saw something that said you should scan your surroundings especially in strange places for 10 seconds. Thoughts:

1. That's not long enough to check for potential dangers.

2. Surely being aware of your surroundings especially when by yourself or as a woman is just common sense.

3. I am constantly keeping an eye on possible dangers even in places I DO know.
