@mangeurdenuage @Mitsu Also Mastodon is full of assholes that mass report your app if your code allows you to talk with instances they don't like. Husky is only distributed on F-Droid because of that. Apple doesn't allow third party stores yet, but that could change by the end of the year.

@coolboymew @SNEK See, and that's a difference in two mindsets. You had the anon crowd that actually wanted to get into more than the superficial, wanted to see exactly how it got to this point, how bad it is, and who all was to blame. They found out that this took decades of pressure from various sources, starting with academia, then wormed its way into corporate America as those types started getting positions of influence. Then you had Kotaku in Action that just wanted to be mad at current thing while absolving everyone that's not current thing, whether mainstream media or game developers, of any blame, saying they're just ignorant and being fed misinformation by this small clique. That's the crowd that went SJW-lite, because in the end, they didn't want to look at the bigger picture, they were just upset that liberalism was going in a direction they didn't approve of, and once people started rejecting liberalism, they begrudgingly went back to their roots.

Some other old Autism War vets like @TheQuQu and @ChristiJunior could probably add a lot to this.

The reporter in the US claiming it was the American government that bombed Nordstream has a history of breaking major stories. He's the one that exposed the My Lai massacre during the Vietnam War and was one of the people breaking the news about torture of detainees at Abu Ghraib in Iraq. He's the only one making that claim, though, and his recent record is a little spotty.

Boris Johnson didn't prevent a peace treaty, but he convinced Ukraine not to take a deal they had doubts about to begin with. This is a lie on Putin's part, unless he thought he had Ukraine convinced when he really didn't.

Russia did try to maneuver their way into NATO around 2000 and relations between the two were pretty strong before the color revolutions. Putin went about it in as stupid of a way as possible, demanding they be invited rather than going through the standard application process. Yeltsin was in favor of joining NATO, too.
