Update: I survived, and now have a nice haircut. Also the hairstylist saw with their own eyes how when my hair is shorter than two inches or so it simply wants to stand perpendicularly out from my head. I showed them a picture of a resplendent quetzal to illustrate what it looks like all over.
Dream journal: at one of those perpetually-almost-going-out-of-business stores in the mall, bought an olive-green corduroy blazer and a black velvet blazer.
Upon waking, not sure whether I regret that I don't have them irl??
Also dreamt that I had to give shots to two cats I was taking care of, but I lost the info saying which cat should get which shot and was googling the cryptic labels on the syringes to see if I could figure out which was which.

(yes there's a bluetooth version, but I don't want it because I've often found myself doing things in the BIOS and that requires keypresses before a wireless keyboard can be detected)
Y'all I am so happy to have my own copy of the Odyssey which I can dog-ear as I wish. Perhaps even underline. Like I woke up happier than usual because of it.
Just raced through the boring bit (the Telemachy, books 1-4) and am now upon Ogygia, Calypso's island.
my favourite bit in the Odyssey is probably the guy who survives all that shit only to die from falling off a roof drunk, also JUST before they go on a side quest to the underworld
