@pepelsbey it’s sometimes difficult to have both multiple perfect bold and good performance … 😕

Faux italic is often much worse IMHO.

@pepelsbey the issue with temporary faux bold with later true bold is the potential layout shifts.

Hard to please the eye immediately and continuously.

I aim for this, but clients often prefer keeping their large images instead of good font rendering, when there are choices to make to improve performance. 🤷‍♂️

@ollicle variable fonts tend to weight more, so take more time to load. But they're great, the way forward.

Unfortunately, I've never seen a client using a font available in variable form yet… 😅
