What would you guess how long it takes for a single that is produced in the core of our to reach the surface of the sun? (no peeking!)

Hint: from the surface of the sun to earth, a photon flies about eight minutes.

    @2ndStar Freilaufende Hauskatzen sind allerdings auch nicht besser, eher schlimmer. Die marodieren sich durch die Kleintierwelt.

    Es gibt hier einige davon in der Nachbarschaft und ich verjage die, wo ich nur kann.

    Die Fragen sehen mir durchschnittlich schwer aus, wobei ich natürlich nicht weiß, wie lange das alles erarbeitet wurde.

    @2ndStar Obwohl, wir hatten mal in Vorstellungsgesprächen eine Einstiegs-IT-Frage: "Welche Merkmale kennzeichnen eine relationale Datenbank?", bei der man sich mit etwas Kenntnis der Materie austoben kann.

    Ein Kandidat mit eher unrundem Lebenslauf und darin drei oder vier Jahren Informatikstudium schaute mich ratlos an, als hätte ich die Frage auf Chinesisch vorgetragen.
    Man weiß es nie.

    Eine der lustigeren Sachen aus dem Urlaub: Meine Frau bedauerte bei unserem Spaziergang durch die Gesteinsformationen an der baskischen Küste am Ostersamstag, dass es in Spanien überhaupt keine österliche Deko gäbe.
    Ich untersuchte derweil etwas loses Gestein am Hang und kurze Zeit später, voilà:

    Kürzlich auf der Ausstellung eines bekannten und damals betagten Fotografen gewesen - zwei Tage später war er tot.

    Gestern im Guggenheim die Hauptwerke Richard Serras (Schöpfer riesiger rostiger Stahlformen) angeschaut. Etwa gleichzeitig ist er gestorben.

    Wohin soll ich als nächstes?

    Russisches Gas, chinesische Produkte und wenn man so die Sicherheitsblogs etwas verfolgt, sollte man sich im Internet auch dringend die Abhängigkeit von US-Milliardären und Monopolfirmen anschauen.
    Warum nicht z.B. mal Top-Down ein EU-Linux für öffentliche Verwaltungen (und alle, die wollen) angehen?

    @2ndStar Gerhart Baum hatte ich eigentlich anders abgespeichert. Zwar FDP, aber als elder Statesman mit vernünftigen Ansichten, oft gegen die Parteilinie.

    Aber ich gucke generell keine Talkshows, ich weiß nicht, was er heute erzählt.

    @sternwarte @2ndStar Also, mit dem Atari-Computer konnte man nicht spielen. Das war der Amiga.
    Beim Atari gab es nur Ballerburg, das war's. Aber er hatte ein DTP-Programm und eine Midi-Schnittstelle.

    Ich wunderte mich schon öfter, dass Tablet in Schulzusammenhängen häufig nur "iPad" genannt wird.

    Bei meinem Sohn ist Tablet-Nutzung schon länger in der Schule freigestellt, aber nur als "BYOD". Er hat halt ein Android.
