I know I’ll probably get dogpiled for saying this, but I’ll say it anyway. It makes me really sad to see these things because they’re targeted to people who aren’t “willingly stupid”. Learning disabled and the elderly primarily. I’ve also seen foreign teenagers who grew up without technology in very corrupt government systems fall for similar messages.
It really breaks my heart. We should be protecting these people, but there’s so many comments here blaming them.
“Stupid people” aren’t the problem here, the scammers taking advantage of the most vulnerable populations are.
Yeah, my family currently has R but next year we need to buy an L for most of the reasons listed above. I’m just glad both options are available, it’s always works out better for consumers when there’s more choices depending on your needs.
I was having a friendly discussion with someone this morning about PC and Laptops for work/education stuff, he suggested that I could use a chromebook for all this stuff and this would be a good idea and make things easier. I strongly disagreed with this, mainly because I hate laptops, the keyboard and touchpad make me angry and...
This is exactly what I do too, plus a tablet for quick notes or reading when I’m studying or somewhere a laptop might feel a bit excessive (basically anywhere that I need to be waiting for something).
Sometimes I feel like the only person who doesn’t like Wes Anderson movies. I don’t understand it at all. Isle of Dogs was the only one I liked, but that one kind of goes against his typical style. I’ve otherwise watched Royal Tenenbaums, Darjeeling Limited, and Life Aquatic just to try and understand it and I didn’t like any of them (I don’t think I made it more than halfway through any of them). What am I missing and why does everyone love these movies? (This is a question in good faith, I genuinely want to know because I don’t get it)
It’s a video about sexuality as a gaming mechanic. The same way you might play as a mage or a warrior, you can choose who your character is interested in. Except you don’t realize you have an option until someone else that played the game in a different way tells you. There’s a focus on bisexual erasure as well....
Also, as a bi person, this is something I always appreciated about video games. I remember telling my friends about it in highschool and they didn’t believe me, it was like they didn’t even notice. And we were all pretty hardcore gamers.
There used to be a button to visit a random subreddit that I liked to use, until the day that I landed on the sub unironically dedicated to beating your wife/girlfriend. I saw one or two fucked up posts before I fully processed what I was looking at, that I don’t even feel comfortable detailing here because I would hate to trigger someone. Truly one of the darkest corners of the internet.
This is exactly where I’m struggling too. I recently got really into Planet Zoo and love seeing other people’s creations. But Reddit is a pain to go to, and the official forums are just people endlessly listing different animals, they’re completely pointless. So I want to make a Planet Zoo community here, but I’m also horrible at making stuff. So I try to find other people’s creations but Reddit is a pain to go to…and it’s just an endless cycle.
I bought a piece of 1.5 inch stiff foam to try to fix a sag in a bed. It didn’t work but having that thick piece of solid foam around has been a life saver....
My tablet for school. I bought it because I was sick of shifting through stacks of handwritten notes while writing papers. Turns out it was the best purchase I made as a student. I haven’t bothered to write on paper since, and it’s saved me a ton of time and money (otherwise spent on printing supplies). I’ve started using it for work as well. I don’t know if I could function without one now.
This is my go-to response whenever anyone wants to start talking politics with me. Mainly because whenever someone wants to talk politics it’s usually not because they’re liberal and I really hate talking with people who just want to prove that their opinion is the right one.
I think historically that an expansion name and teaser trailer come from the first Fan Fest of the year, but I’m not 100% sure… what sorts of announcements do you want to see?
