papalonian,

I wouldn’t go so far as to say he was a good guy, but I still don’t think it’s fair to label him as a bad guy by the end of the book (pre-prologue). By the end of half blood prince he’d started realizing that he was on the wrong side, but how many 15/16 year olds are out there that have the confidence to openly defy their parents, especially ones so renowned as the Malfoys? Nevermind the fact that Voldemort would have him killed for defecting

papalonian,

Damn, I haven’t read the books in over a decade so I’m hazy on some of the details. I remembered him trying to stop Harry in the last book but I was thinking he was still rolling pretty deep with the other death eaters

papalonian,

From an outside perspective, your “but do go on” remark was the first comment that seemed to be looking for a fight.

But do go on.

papalonian,

it seems wild to me that an adult with a heart condition like that wouldn’t check any caffeinated drink to see the caffeine quantity before drinking it…

The issue is that she didn’t know it had caffeine, presumably because it wasn’t obvious when ordering it. She may have just thought “charged lemonade” was the name they gave their regular lemonade drink and didn’t think anything of it. I wouldn’t think to ask for the caffeine content of a lemonade, either.

papalonian,

I think he would call you a dumbass for getting into gambling, but would view someone running the business as just a businessman. He may be wary of the gang associating with him but I don’t think he’d view him as a bad dude

papalonian,

Same same. I was like “its 3x20 minus 3x3, 60 minus 9…?”

papalonian,

Good news for those students. I wonder what the state’s financial aid looks like. Hopefully a majority of students there are able to take advantage of the program.

papalonian,

Nice job! I was going to ask if these were printed. What kind of printer did you use? I don’t think I could manage such fine detail with my own (slightly modified Neptune 3).

papalonian,

Elegoo gang represent! Haha

papalonian,

What prevents you from living this way? If the main plus you’re seeing is “easier to clean”, I assume that means you’ve got more furniture and such. What’s stopping you from getting rid of everything except what’s pictured?

papalonian,

You can’t leave a comment like that and not tell the car bois what you got.

papalonian,

You bought a literal racecar? Hell yeah dude. Live your best life.

papalonian,

That’s awesome man. Hope it brings smiles for a long time.

papalonian,

This is off topic, but I really like the facial hair that he has grown. It looks really awful, and makes him look more like the 50 something-year-old capitalist that he is rather than the 30 something year old epic meme lolzer he was trying to portray himself as a couple years ago

papalonian,

Why you keep posting/ making these? Idek if this account is a real person or not.

papalonian,

The appeal is to have it fit on your keychain/ in your pocket so that you’ve always got it rather than having to run back to the car or wherever one might be

papalonian,

264 and I just started it on one of my playthroughs. Yee

papalonian,

Yeah… This was a really rough read. I feel awful for everyone involved but the author was really struggling to paint a lot of things about them in a positive light

papalonian,

I’m really not sure what point you’re trying to make here. I’m talking about things like, the doctors told her how messed up the pregnancy was and she thought “maybe it’ll magically fix itself” and that she “decided not to decide” and the such. It sounds like she was given information that at least could’ve opened up options had she not ignored it for so long. It’s great that the step mother is going to “support her no matter what”, but I have to wonder if their " traditional values" helped contribute to the fear she had in finding a way to get an abortion.

papalonian,

People (like me) who don’t know the context of this meme are not going to know what any of that means, lol

50p sheet into an entire holiday outfit!

Yep. Fifty pence in a charity shop, you literally can't go wrong.

I made this over the summer in preparation for our big family holiday, and remember I had to ask for help with gathering over at @sewing because it was being a nightmare and I am a noob. Worked out pretty well in the end, though! (Thank you Lemmy folks for the advice)

Lots of firsts with this skirt! Well, two firsts. I put pockets into a pattern that didn't have them, and also drafted a curved waistband so it would actually fit. Felt pretty pro after all that, I won't lie 😎

Patterns are the Cali Skirt and Ellie Bralette from https://www.etsy.com/uk/shop/NHPATTERNS, and I was about to shoutout @wisbr for enabling me with that link in the first place, but she seems to have gone and now I'm sad 😢

The same outfit from the previous photo, but now modelled by me, an early middle-aged white woman with long brown hair and glasses. I have my hands in the skirt pockets and am swooshing it about, showing off the two slits in the front. I look pretty pleased with myself!

papalonian,

This is super impressive. Good job!

papalonian,

Oh Jesus, it’s the same annoying guy that posts the stupid Dale Earnhardt “memes”.

This guy would upload the IRS tax handbook as a meme if he could

papalonian,

The way I RP it in my head is the bard is telling the NPC, “I’ll have my buddy here fuck you up”

papalonian,

… via an automated response that detects when I’m driving and informs people of such.
