Went thrifting again, still obsessed with finding leather bags. Today's bag haul: one purple Fossil bag with a damaged front flap for $7 (I am pretty sure I can repair this) and two She + Lo crossover bags for $13 and $6 respectively. That grey one is a weird little guy, the studs are flat like Lego studs.
Did another thrift store visit today. Grabbed 49 CDs for $1 each. It's such a great time to grab physical media before people realize streaming platforms aren't the answer.
The Sewing machine mechanic was delighted to service this new-to-me Elna Automatic 1959 model. He said it sews like a dream, and it really does. Only done half an hour or so with it, but already I am in love with the knee lever thingy.
In other news the op shop had an angle poise like lamp to assist with illumination for $10.
Found this custom arcade set from Brickloot (it uses and includes real LEGO bricks) sealed and unassembled at Goodwill the other day for pennies. REALLY cool little build. Haven't put on decals yet. Might wanna make my own.
We use French press when wife & I drink #coffee together. Lazy me makes instant for just me but that's expensive, more so 'cos decaf organic.
A Keurig helps but that's expensive. Until my #Goodwill luck yesterday went beyond BT Type Cover☝️ and also gave me a near-pristine K-Elite K90, a 2022 model, w all features I need.
This one brand new is $190, sale price $120 but I paid what? 🤪
Oh, did I mention coffee this morning was awesome? 😉
#thrifting has been extremely good to me as of late. I stumbled upon the last two volumes of the #Doom novels that I was looking for and another in the #StarTrekVoyager set.
We are staying open late this Friday night come say hi and check out the new stock - new suede out last night, among others.
We also have a new partnership with second hand stories, an online used book seller that supports a chicken sancturary, and you can now pick up your purchases at Lainey's Luck at 523 Bank St.
HARD OFF is my favorite store ever. It’s a Japanese chain of tech thrift stores that will buy your junk and resell it. There’s also OFF HOUSE (clothes/household items), the confusingly unrelated BOOK OFF (used books, games and other media), LIQUOR OFF, etc
I’ll start off by posting some overview photos of what kind of stuff you can find there, and then start following up whenever I find something interesting
