Hey, I'm growing these guys from seeds I got from store bought peppers. In my country they usually don't specify the variety for hot pepper but I think it could be some habaneros....
Difficult to tell yet, but they are gonna be hot! Habanero seems like a good guess but I don’t think it can be determined for sure. Once they start hitting their ripe coloring you should have a better idea.
I found this small aluminum item in a tool box. It’s 1.5" diameter. The two pieces screw together. I thought it was a little stash container, but the larger piece has a nub inside which would fill the void on the smaller piece when screwed together. Is this some tool? Or maybe a little machinist project.

Health Ministry Takes Action: Investigating the Strange Disease Outbreak In a concerning turn of events, over 200 people in the Egyptian village of Al-aleikat, located in the Qena governorate, have been infected with a mysterious disease, causing alarm among the residents.
& I’m doing pretty good! The wefwef app has done a great job of recreating the Apollo experience and has made it a lot easier to not want to go and download the Reddit app. The more active it gets here, the easier it’ll be. How are you guys doing so far? Have you found an App for Lemmy that you prefer the most yet?
I felt that at first but I’ve found the engagement to be more meaningful here when it does happen, even though it’s sometimes sparse or not at all. I came in the previous influx after spez started forcing subs open. I don’t really miss it that much now.
-edited for results- NSFW Content is now fully permitted BUT it must be tagged. Any NSFW content that has not been tagged and blurred will be removed. Content warnings should also be added to the title in brackets. Example: [penis] or: [explicit description of sex]. Non-sexualized breasts of any gender are not considered...
Seconded. If it's marked nsfw and blurred, it's my choice to view at that point and I don't give a shit. My bad for playing roulette and losing if I clicked it and regret it.
Hey there, so I registered to Sopuli recently and I'm still getting through the transition out of Reddit, I'll admit right now I'm enjoying the shit show too much to step away but once RiF stops working, I'm probably gonna be around here a lot more....
I view all new and it's been a little slower but loosely equivalent to when I'd sort by top->this hour. Obviously it's a bit broader and you'll get wackier shit because it's all and not just places you've subscribed to, but it's been scratching a similar itch and I've been able to stay away from Reddit.
I have high hopes that this will continue to grow and I'll be able to eventually switch to subscribed, but I believe we're quite a ways from that right now. But then I've only been here a week.
There's a lot of noise with this one. Among the noisiest we've seen. Please know that our teams are on it, and like all blowups on Reddit, this one will pass as well. The most important things we can do right now are stay focused, adapt to challenges, and keep moving forward. We absolutely must ship what we said we would....
For a sub that’s supposed to promote Reddit alternatives, there sure is a lot of pessimism on there. I see so many people dismissing Lemmy and kbin already for being too inaccessible, the UI is clunky, it’s hard to pick up etc and saying these sites will never take off. But why? Of course a platform in its infancy will have...
It took me a minute to figure it out 2 days ago and I don't think I'm a dummy, but who knows. That said, my "Reddit sort by top-> this hour" addiction is already well being fed and I'm happy.
These are all great points as well. There were a lot of different ways to interact with and use Reddit. I didn't really live in any subs as much as use Reddit to see random things to pass my time and occasionally get help from certain subs.
Even in the knowledge based usage for me, i was usually around long enough to get the startup knowledge to waste time and money and storage space on a new hobby, ignore the subreddit that got me started as I explored the new hobby, then answer the questions that the old hands got tired of answering but I had fresh experience to answer without the exhaustion of answering the same questions over and over again.
I think Lemmy is going to hit my needs absolutely on target. I don't think I'll delete my Reddit account or blast my old comments, bit that depends somewhat on how spez continues to push forward. In many ways I'm glad I'm being pushed to try something new.
This is getting a lot longer than I thought I would go. I'll wrap it up with saying I'm also noticing that without the critical mass of Reddit, the spamming, trolls, manipulation farms aren't here yet that I've seen and it's been a really refreshing experience to see the increased quality of posts and conversations. Even with shit posts and memes.
OC Can you identify those? (files.antoineguillou.fr)

Today I made ice for the first time in 3-4 years
I finally found the spring for my freezer's ice tray which I had put away in a "logical place" for "safe keeping" until I was able to fix it....
Its been one day without Reddit

Curious, if you were/are a Reddit user, will you be leaving the platform for good or have you already? CEO has called unpaid moderators' concerns "noise", that will be "passing soon."

What’s with the cynicism towards Lemmy on r/RedditAlternatives and Reddit in general?
