@binbows good attaching the concept of masculinity to being a man is the worst thing we could’ve done. same thing with attaching femininity to being a woman. There’s feminine men, masculine women, masculine transfems (tho I usually hear them refer to themselves as butch. I should know sometimes I feel really fem other times I prefer butch but still fem leaning). feminine transmascs etc. An assortment of different types, attaching gender to a concept of femininity or masculinity is cringe tbh. There’s a lot of boys who are self conscious about their feminine features, a lot of girls self conscious about their masculine features. just makes everything messy

I get enough of the boosting no comment, reacting etc. don’t get me wrong I enjoy that but I really do appreciate when people spend the time to reply, add their comments and talk about my posts. It makes it feel much more engaging, I get to see what the beings around me feel about my post.

@icantcode why do you think I call shitposting an art form? If you’ve seen my shitposts they aren’t the usual regurgitated things. I try to put some effort in them. I joke about things that bother me it’s a response that I’ve learned to handle trauma with. It’s fun to embellish make things weird and shitpost about things that bother me. It helps take the edge off and in a way makes the problem feel less daunting

puppygirlhornypost,
@puppygirlhornypost@transfem.social avatar

@NotThatDeep That’s why I say you don’t have to but it’s appreciated. I have a lot of things that I like to talk about and absolutely understand there’s people who want to engage with that sort of thing but don’t have the spoons for it in the moment. That is the entire thought process regarding content warnings for things like my political posts. It can also be really difficult to articulate your thoughts (ask me how I know 🥴) towards a subject, especially hard to further refine them. Sometimes I’ve written a post been forced to revise it and I get upset at my original wording and it can put me off from making the post. Life happens, don’t feel pressured by any means I just want to tell people that I appreciate interactions :)

@icantcode those people suck. I have had my fair share "why don’t you take things seriously, is life some big joke to you?" Etc. I just hold my tongue because most of the time those people don’t understand the seriousness of what I’ve been through

The popularity of unboxing videos indicates an underserved market of packaging-provided enclosure enrichment now that $amzn is mass obsessed. Perforation in the slabs of cardboard to be the parts of a paper airplane. Think about it.

puppygirlhornypost,
@puppygirlhornypost@transfem.social avatar

@Binder I like packaging that encourages recycling even if it’s for different uses. Giving perforations or other things kids can use to make their own toys would be very sweet since some kids can’t afford toys of their own. I doubt a kid who doesn’t have anything to play with would be particularly disappointed in a cardboard airplane that gives em something to do for a lil while

@puppygirlhornypost@transfem.social avatar

I’m linking the original post so that people can see what I mean by "parallel". My original poll is here https://transfem.social/notes/9tg0q2tex9t4026s what I have realized this is closely related to a question I’ve seen asked in trans spaces before. If you had the ability to be born again, you lose all your experiences of the world as the gender (the thought experiment can be expanded to other identities not just binary genders since this is a theoretical) you were born with… you suddenly are born into the world as your current gender identity, it is respected as one you are treated no different than being cisheterosexual Would you take the chance even if it means giving up on the experience of being trans, queer? It's worth noting that this hypothetical does not mean you are unable to participate in those spaces, but you would be considered an ally. Would you sacrifice who you currently are socially to live the life you were meant to live or would you rather continue living the life you are now even if that means it’s hard and you have to fight?

puppygirlhornypost,
@puppygirlhornypost@transfem.social avatar

I say no. I would not want that as the trans experience has impacted my life greatly. I don’t think I would be much of the same person if I chose to be reborn into a world in which I didn’t have a struggle or a fight. It’s defeating, exhausting, horrible but it is part of me and something I would not want to change. I think of this about my abuse as well, it has made me who I am and I do not want to think about what life would be like without it. This is a contradiction to my other poll answer, which I think is very interesting personally. This is not me trying to be contradictory but the thought of being reborn and having an "easy life" as a normal person just brings such displeasure to me. I pride myself on my empathy because I’ve firsthand experienced a lot of horrible things, I fear that without my experience I would be less empathetic towards others. Again there is no right or wrong answer. This is just my personal opinion

This one particularly makes me curious because blind from birth people seem to be more inclined to pick blind from birth while sighted tend to pick sight than blind. This is not a wrong answer, but it makes me curious why people would be so afraid of experiencing something so foreign, unfamiliar and hard to conceptualize. A blind from birth person has no idea what sight is. They don’t know about things like colors (they may know the abstract concept if you say somethings green it’s green). People born with sight have trouble even conceptualizing that, not knowing things like direction and feeling completely disoriented. It's easy to get trapped in the thought of "but I can’t see the beauty in the world" but you must have to realize that blind from birth people do see beauty in this world it’s just that it’s not sight. They can vary from different senses, I mean let’s assume you can still smell, feel, hear, taste. While you might find beauty in certain colors a blind from birth person may find beauty in things like texture, feel. People who are sensory (I should know I’m a sensory person) I can relate to that because I like the soft feelings of blankets, smooth surfaces etc.

@puppygirlhornypost@transfem.social avatar

You know what my polls aren’t difficult enough. I’m going to expose the non visually impaired people to a bit of blind culture. I’m going to ask an uncomfortable question that I’ve personally asked other blind people and talked about it with them. Assuming you have no other choice, and you must select one of the following: Would you rather be blind from birth or develop blindness after being sighted? I want you to understand that usually this isn’t a choice people get to make, I still have no idea if my vision will rapidly deteriorate.

puppygirlhornypost,
@puppygirlhornypost@transfem.social avatar

I will say that the two arguments I’ve heard on both sides of the coin. My blind from birth friend stated she would rather be blind from birth, this is all she ever knows about the world. Even though it’s hard for her she wouldn’t have it any other way, she enjoys the fact that she can’t see faces understand the concept of beauty etc. She would rather not have to lose something that she had prior, as it would be an excruciating experience knowing what once was. I agreed with her on this point the concept doesn’t exactly entice me. That’s why this poll is uncomfortable. You really have to think though because consider the second argument.

If you were sighted before you have an imagination still, you can understand dimensions, visualize things. You can have dreams as you once did. You have access to memories of when you were sighted although they may fade away. I get recommended yt shorts from someone who argues he’d rather not have it any other way. He’s able to remember his kids' faces by feel and see the memory. He’s able to do things that blind from birth people may. It be. It’s also important to understand that being blind does not mean just a lack of visual perception like you close your eyes. You may still see light, movement of light etc. it’s not a unified experience. So which would it be?
