An update: They lasered the inside of my eye to cauterize the retinal tear and we THINK we stopped it flat, with a checkup on next Tuesday. I can definitely say I have an eye floater that ate chicago eating up my right eye's vision.
I have two swing cases for tools and stuff in the back of the truck, but my recovery gear and some larger stuff (spare air compressor, tire repair kit, etc) doesn't fit in the swing cases.
I've had that stuff in a large trailer box, but every time I go to the store I'm worried that someone will disappear it (it's 300lbs+, so a two person job, but...)
So I take it out pretty much every time with a hydraulic lift cart, and lock it in the back yard. PITA.
Last night I finally went out and drilled in a couple 15,000lb lifting eyes. I put 3in washers on it, and 5/8 nylocks. I ran an aircraft cable through two of the bed tiedowns, and then put a decent u-lock through that and the lifting eye.
I don't think most people who are inclined to steal a toolbox are carrying the heavy tools needed to cut that. Bolt cutters aint cuttin' it!
I sealed it with marine-grade RTV silicon to keep it water tight.
If in your organization people are asked to do a presentation multiple times, "so everyone can catch it", then that is a failure of communication culture. You schedule the presentation once for the people who want to ask questions or seek clarification on the previously circulated writeup, and ensure that detailed notes are taken in a collaboratively editable document, so everyone can read up on it and seek further clarification in writing if needed.
@xahteiwi s/detailed notes/recording with transcript/g would be my pref, and perhaps followup alt-timezone-friendly Q&A sessions which take much less time and, being live events, are also a way to connect folks across disparate timezones.
@xahteiwi fair, and not untrue. Sometimes that can be overcome by playing at 1.25x or higher, and sometimes we should give folks training in how to present.
@xahteiwi also fair, though I feel like I can read an auto-transcribed doc (often giggling at the phonetic choices). I'd say that you need someone equally well trained to take the kinds of notes that faithfully recount a presentation well.
@DaNanner the challenge was I got hints of the tequila's agave-ness, but not enough to sell it well. A touch of lime might help, but I suspect the syrup would push it further back.
I'll probably swap the amaro, maybe do one with Amaro Nonino or China China (burnt orangey) at same proportions, and another with Cynar or Averna (more vegetal/herbal) and see where things land.
@DaNanner That'll work. You could also roll 3:1 soda and bourbon with a splash of grenadine (hey, you're going to the market, so ... 😇) for something like a Kid Dynamite.
Child the Middlest, 17 full years of age and a reasonably trustworthy young adult, texts Beth and me saying, "I want to go to an all ages rave in SF with Friendo tomorrow night."
They quickly added, “Its at the dna lounge in sf and Friendo’s dad would take us [...] its a really reputable venue ... starts at 7pm, prob get there closer to 9 and leave at midnight,” closing with, “like theyre very strict on no drugs or alcohol at these”
@jwz CtM had an amazing time! They would've stayed all night if they could, but we had plans the next day. I unfortunately missed out; there was a tangle in the logistics of who was taking who when that would have made it awkward so it felt like the most PLURry thing to do was step aside.
