Ordered a load of metal for various projects. Package arrived today, but unfortunately all the steel is missing :(

Does anybody I know on here have experience cycle touring in England? I'm headed to EMF Camp at the end of the month and it sounds really fun to simply cycle there (from London). I have many questions.

@kim @bkero assume anything built by sustrans is the longest route from a to b.

Work on the assumption that everyone behind the wheel wants you dead. And ride on the left. Then you'll be fine.

Thanks to everyone who helped me out financially this month, it was a horrible month and this year has been awful, but everyone who helped either through Ko-fi, joining my Patreon or buying my new stand-up special has made a huge difference. I’ve really been struggling with depression lately and the help and love I received this week has made it melt away.

While the rest of Europe is wondering how to sell more international rail tickets, SNCF is doing the opposite from 23 May 🙄

@jon SNCF really needs a completely new management team, and a change in company culture. None of what they operate makes any sense at all.

@jon yes. But they do that by running a bare minimum of trains. There seems to be no drive to do more. To improve anything. It's a "this is what we do, this is what we have always done, we will do no more, we may do less".

In many ways it feels like their timetables are an exercise in malicious compliance. There's certainly no logic to them.

@jon i don't understand the total lack of aspiration. While all the other state operators are looking at expanding their international options. SNCF seem to just look blankly and ask "why would anyone ever want to leave France?"

Also given the french will happily riot over almost anything. Why is their not a mob with flaming torches at SNCF HQ?

Interesting fact about painkillers. The work better if you actually take them. Having lay in bed waiting for the painkillers to kick in and nothing happening, I wanderes back to my desk to find them sat there next to my drink...
