reddig33, to austin in Reel mower sharpening?

Thank you!

reddig33, to technology in Google Search’s New AI Overviews Will Soon Have Ads

Why is Google determined to kill one of its cash cows? Cramming AI into search results feels like “New Coke”.

reddig33, to nostupidquestions in What should I know about buying / replacing a garage door opener?

Chamberlain has an almost monopoly in this market.

Keep in mind that their “smart” openers do not integrate well with Siri, HomeKit, Homebridge, or similar platforms. They want you to use their app, so they can show you ads.

reddig33, to xbox in What Convinced You To Pick Xbox In The First Place?

Kinect. Skype. The tv tuner features. It plays blu ray. It has streaming apps. On top of that it plays network-based games that I enjoy.

Most of that is gone now. It still has game pass that I check out every now and then.

reddig33, to eugene in Had to repost

Sounds a lot like the Roman Colosseum.

reddig33, to technology in Reddit brings back its old award system — ‘we messed up’

You messed up worse than just getting rid of awards.

reddig33, to pennsylvania in John Fetterman was open about his depression. Now he wants to create a national mental health commission

Haven’t we already had multiple national commissions about this subject? How about socialized mental health care for all instead?

reddig33, (edited ) to health in “Outrageously” priced weight-loss drugs could bankrupt US health care

The savings from not having to pay treatment costs for as many arthritis, heart disease, stroke, fatty liver, and diabetes cases should balance the costs.

Also most insurance companies refuse to cover semaglutide, so I don’t see this bankrupting anyone but the patients who pay out of pocket.

reddig33, to politics in What American Fascism Would Look Like

You can probably drop the “lol” part.

reddig33, to politics in What American Fascism Would Look Like

Brilliant photo illustration.

reddig33, (edited ) to technology in Microsoft PC Manager App 'Repairs' Your System by Making Bing the Search Default

I see that anti trust / Internet Explorer investigation had no effect at all.

reddig33, to mildlyinfuriating in When you have to use multiple browsers because one place doesn't work

Sounds like “that one place” is put together by the lowest bidder.

reddig33, to toronto in ‘Outrageously small,’ Chipotle says there’s been no change to its portion sizes despite complaints

It could be the franchise owners getting squeezed like they did with Quiznos. If you have to buy Chipotle ingredients from Chipotle, and they’ve raise d the prices of those ingredients, but you’re not allowed to raise customer prices — it could result in smaller portions without a directive coming from corporate.

reddig33, to artporn in A Visit to The Artists Studio - Gabriel Von Max (1840-1915)

Some people are so talented. That is a really clever painting.

reddig33, to technology in Orange Charger thinks a $750 outlet will solve EV charging for apartment dwellers

Maybe. Or maybe someone buys them out, or the landlord is given the option to flip them open for free use. The good news is it should leave the infrastructure in place.
