After reversing its position on remote work, Dell is reportedly implementing new tracking techniques on May 13 to ensure its workers are following the company’s return-to-office (RTO) policy, The Register reported today, citing anonymous sources....

That really is one of the most ridiculous parts. Even if your team is local, a huuuge amount of interaction is spread across tbe globe.

I thought you meant the effects not the effects

Not sure that edit is clearing anything up.

I don’t agree with them, but I also didnt read that they thought others weren’t valid. They seemed like they were just expressing that this isn’t a good option for them (or people like them)

But I thought that they can’t survive on soil nutrients alone where they live which is why they eat other stuff

4-star generals side with Smith, tell SCOTUS Trump immunity claim is 'assault' on democracy (lawandcrime.com)

A distinguished group of retired four-star generals and admirals from the U.S. military have argued in a brief filed in the U.S. Supreme Court on Monday that Donald Trump’s claims of absolute “presidential immunity” from criminal prosecution tied to Jan. 6 is an “assault” on the “foundational commitments”...

He told people Biden soiled itz and they laughed and clapped.

I see no evidence this is a problem for him. His lack of cognition, morals, etc has never really been a problem before.

If you really want performance, please write your code in binary, then you have no compiler, no runtime just plain binary code, it will be fast but unreadable

What a stupid, dismissive, and worthless take.

Me: No. No. I don’t think I will.

I love all the little things his administration keeps doing, and they’re good. I just wish he had some big initiative he could hang his hat on. Little things like this - while good - don’t really get people excited and aren’t the sea change(s) we need.

I know, a big part of that is congress.

But damn surely there’s a lot more ballsy stuff that could have been done by now. Weed not being federally legalized yet is stupid, for one thing.

'A lot of money': Trump owes $87K in interest per day until he pays the fine in his civil fraud case (abcnews.go.com)

Former President Donald Trump owes an additional $87,502 in post-judgment interest every day until he pays the $354 million fine ordered by Judge Arthur Engoron in his civil fraud case, according to ABC News’ calculations based on the judge’s lengthy ruling in the case....

That’s only $32M per year, seems like not much of a penalty compared to what he’s not paying.

The most surprising thing I think is that this confirms that he does sometimes pay lawyers.

Right, 98% of it wasn’t anything about making money, improving the service, building something new, or allowing free speech.

He just wanted to make sure Twitter said what he wanted it to.

It’s been wildly successful on that front. Way way way more successful than, say, Truth Social.

Random little-known fact: “Nimrod” only became an insult due to a Daffy Duck cartoon. Nimrod was a mythical hunter. Daffy happens to sarcastically call Elmer “Nimrod” as just a reference. People started interpreting it as an insult, or word for someone stupid.

Until actual consequences are enforced, he is.

Hopefully this is one of a dozen times this year that he finally gets real consequences.

Amazon’s not good at shipping?

I don’t like a lot of their business practices, but holy shit do they get stuff to my house fast and reliably. Most of the time, same or next day.

And yet there are so, so many people that don’t seem to be able to pull themselves away from it.

I really don’t get it.

A) That’s not “conservative” messaging

B) It’s a joke

And to actually say you wanted to recreate the horrors of it. Like explicitly say that. That’s a special level of non-self-awareness.
