@robb Hi Robb, congratulations 🤩 Quick question: if I understood the process right, I need to „Connect to omg.lol“ just to verify I‘m an omg.lol user to get the discount right? Because the app is asking quite some far reaching privileges just for that. Am I missing something?
@robb sorry to bother you again. I’ve setup my Echo, using my mastodon feed to cross-post to Bluesky. After doing this, posts to BS should appear automatically right? Because nothing new is posted there although I did add a post to mastodon and echofees has picked up the change.
@robb Yes I did use my email address, because I was not sure what exactly my username was, because I used my custom domain for that. For the time being, I’ve setup a URL redirect using the StopTheMadness Safari extension
I’m experimenting with a new email setup (for the imminently-launching Neatnik ID setup) and could really use some help testing email deliverability. If you have a spare moment and would like to test, just send an email to testing@email.engineering with any subject line and any message body.
I’m mostly concerned with ensuring that you receive a reply within 15 seconds, and that the reply winds up in your inbox (not spam/junk).
Thanks in advance if you’re able to help test! :prami_happy:
Just kicked some Feeds out of my RSS-Reader that mainly posted news about Games and Tech.
From 2,900 unread entries to "just" 700.
The reason is simple: When I open my feed reader after a stressful week I don't want to filter out now irrelevant stuff. So I never really use it and suddenly have about 3,000 unread posts.
Now I removed these time "sensitive" sources I read five posts from September 2023 that were still relevant.
I don't need news in my feed ready anymore. Tech isn't as interesting as it was a few years before for me and most important stuff is mentioned in some videos or here.
And for gaming news I have @Knoebel that summarizes everything ever week in a few bullet points. (Sadly still without alt text, so I'll never boost their stuff.) It really helps me a lot to save time and still stay up to date.
I hope I can use my RSS reader more in the future, as I did in the past.
@kaiserkiwi@Knoebel I’m using Feedbin and their actions to filter out stuff I don’t care about, eg. I read heise, but I don’t care about heise+ content. Works pretty well for me.
Fiery Feeds Experten hier? Ich kriege die App einfach nicht dazu, automatisch zu synchronisieren. Ich muss immer von Hand aktualisieren. Was mache ich falsch?
