@gruber This recent post feels like bait but I’ll bite…
The spirit of the law is a real thing. The European legal culture is based on Roman law (vs. common law in the U.S.). It doesn’t matter if “that’s not how the rule of law works in the U.S.” because the DMA is an EU regulation…
Or do you imply that only U.S. laws should apply to American companies? Or maybe Apple should be able to make its own law because they know what’s “the truth” vs. “not the truth”?
I can't wait for reliable self-diagnosis health AI. Doctors are in limited supply and have very limited time for each patient. I've been disappointed with doctor appointments all my life. AI will have unlimited time for you and all your medical and health-related questions.
This new lower-cost Apple Pencil is very much aimed at students and schools, not artists. Though I don't envy any teacher who has to recharge 30 styluses via USB-C every week
@stroughtonsmith At least it's USB-C, which means you can just plug a cable from the iPad to the pencil to charge it — no power brick or USB hub needed
Threads is the most fun, most interesting new product of the year, and no one in the E.U. can use it, or will be able to use it anytime soon, because their own elected officials passed a law that effectively bans it.
