I also like minimalist tech: non-smartphones, old school digital watches, Slackware, Gemini/Gopher.

I feel very strongly that if you use a "free service" and enjoy it you should donate to its up keep.

@themayor Actually no, I personally know one other guy with one and I once saw someone else with one on a different occasion. Mine and the two other guys have black HalfBikes. That looks like it is yellow (which incidentally is the colour I should have bought). But no, I don't have a clue who that is? 😆

Ok, yes I do already own a #Casio #F84W and those of you who follow me closely know I recently spent some time polishing out all the scratches and modding the backlight.

So why another? Well… I wanted a backup for this one as this is my favourite of all the Casios.

As an added bonus it may make up for the sin of buying a Skmei Casio clone recently, so I am not thrown out of the #CasioCult 🤪

In total I spent ¤536.59🇳🇴 (≈ 46€/$50🇺🇸/£40🇬🇧), including all shipping and other fees for both the watch itself (sent from Japan) and the light spreader (sent from Canada). Kind of a lot for a "cheap" digital watch but even buying an F-91W in Norway costs ¤399🇳🇴¹. So only a small premium (≈ 12€/$13🇺🇸/£10🇬🇧) to get a (IMHO) more interesting model with a (now) much better light.

¹ Norway is expensive, even online stores. I would never buy one of these directly in Norway.
