Whilst not suffering a series of mini-strokes on national television, Mitch is as always razor sharp and the epitome of giving zero fucks about any human lives/hides other than his own. May the Sweet Lord Above see fit to drown this nearly calcified ghoul in a bed of his own shit, like real soon. Tomorrow morning would be cool
Feinstein fell Tuesday. “All of her scans were clear and she returned home,” the senator’s office said, adding that her hospital visit lasted about two hours.

I abhor autotune like nobody’s business, I also loathe musicals. The combination of these two has kept me from watching this one so far. I might have to get pretty drunk one night I guess

As someone that loves “Strange New Worlds” but has never checked out “Lower Decks” well, second star to the right and straight on til morning I guess (gonna start watching “LD”)
After buying a $70 pair of Vans at famous footwear and having them literally fall apart after using them as daily walking shoes, I’ve realized the quality of shoes overall has gone down over the last decade or so....
Came in here to rep for Merrel. Granted, I’ve only had them for about a year, but the Moab Mid 3 hiking boot is one of the best investments of my life. I needed to buy a pair of insoles for arch support, but after that it’s been like walking on clouds. I ride my bike to work and they’ve held up through snow and torrential downpour. Can’t recommend them highly enough
What?!? Hell yes! Just about to start my weekend and the wife is out watching Oppenheimer. This season kinda started off sluggish with the opener, but every episode since has been solid
I think most all of us here on Lemmy are people with technical background. Most of my professional contacts remained using Reddit, Twitter and even excited when Threads launched....
My only background is in Hell/customer service. Like most of us, Reddit was home for so long. I wouldn’t call myself super tech-savvy, but I fucked around with the Fediverse, figured it out and am happy to not create content for that shitbird Spez. Thanks for listening
Longtime RiF user up in here. I’m definitely gonna give it a shot as yeah the HYPE is mucho, but for now Liftoff scratches the itch. I feel like we’re in this beautiful age of venturing out into the stars of the Fediverse and seeing what’s out there. So yeah, endless newness and can’t wait to see Boost and whatever is next
Adding to that; doesn’t “Children…” take place in like Iowa or something? I can’t think of a King book that takes place specifically in Ohio, but I also haven’t really read his stuff the past decade
Yeah, “Regulators” is an odd ass example. The other book that King released at the same time under his actual name (“Desperation”) was way more memorable drawing from my adolescent mind. Having read both at the time of around their respective release, I don’t remember much about Regulators other than it takes place in a suburb and Desperation is so vastly superior a read/100 and it’s not even close. So yeah, deep dive from OP I guess
Wasn’t he the villain in “Desperation” too? From what I vaguely remember, more pronounced in my mind with the body-horror possession shit. Tak is probably meant to be some kinda Pennywise/Flagg offshoot (lost idea) or something

The library is an underrated resource when it comes to dvd rental. Damn though, I had no idea Netflix still distributed physical media. Props, I guess. I’m shocked they stayed in the game this long
I used to check the front page at least once every day, and occassionally check specific subreddits. Now I don’t look at reddit unless theres some drama, like mods getting purged, then I’d go there and enjoy the drama. Nope. Having finally hammered down the local vernacular (“instances”/“communities”) of Lemmy, I am so at home here. I miss RiF, but Liftoff is serving me well

I’m out of the loop I guess, why is everyone insisting this app will be supreme before it has even been released?
