Do not forget proton. Building on wine It made gaming on linux a breeze, and allowed me to play a lot more of games then i otherways would be able to.

sep,

So he did not enable the “Try proton on all games, even if not explicitly supported” in steam options. shakes head

sep,

So what you are saying is… refund the game. Then buy it again? ;)

Because the guy responsible for the yahoo downfall now control google search? www.wheresyoured.at/the-men-who-killed-google/

sep,

Why not all of the above? If you have a service, you want to sell it to as many customers as possible.

sep,

I imagined they used bugs per license plate for that. Since those are fixed size and vertical.

sep,

I was there, i laughed. Wife looked at me with distaste.

sep,

Probably the best game i am playing, 6000h+ into it now. If you like that type of game, you will love factorio.
Has a free demo on steam, so you can try before you buy.

sep,

Having launch issues seems to be the norm nowadays.I do lot think anyone expects complex software to be bug free.
But the response and speed of fixing issues from arrow head are very good, and an example for others to follow.

Dedicated servers are awesome tho. And all great games have that. Makes the game live forever if the community cares enough. Cnc renegade and enemy territory still have players.

sep,

Same i have friends that have crashed perhaps once or twice a week on windows. But never been an issue for me on linux. Only had it for the last month tho. Could be an older fixed issue as well.

sep,

Helldivers 2 works fine on my debian using steam. As do most other games. Some DRM are windows only. And i will care about that when i have finished my steam backlog

sep,

Hosted my own xmpp server back when you could talk to facebook messenger and google chat users via federation. But when they closed their walled garden there were nobody to talk to so i stopped it.

Now with matrix i have again a homeserver. Bridged to messenger, google what the new thing is called, slack, and a few others.

sep,

Other xmpp servers that want to yes. But i have nobody that uses xmpp again.

sep,

With the exception of the great split. And the freenode fiasco. IRC have been consistently fantastic for me since i logged on in ~93

Or CnC Renegade. Greatest teamwork shooter there was. Nothing better then convincing your team to do a flamer rush.

Played it daily for ~13 years stright

sep,

I know what you say is true in your case.

But it is unfortunatly not that uncommon that people have to amputate a leg or 2 due to complications from smoking.

sep,

While that may be true. The filter bubble is also a very real thing.
Social media sites earn their money by your attention. And try to keep it as long as possible, with all the tricks in the books, and some they invented.
So when someone belives something. They search about it. And belive they have done research. When they find what the site belive keeps them engaged.

Want to know more? sorry, been playing to much helldivers 2. ;) www.ted.com/…/how_to_pop_our_filter_bubbles

The science is not conclusive tho. Perhaps i am in a bubble… messes with the head…

sep,

Pitstop 2 that my brother and I played constantly we were kids are 40 years exactly… the pain…

sep,

Debian stable on servers. Debian testing on the daily driver.
Gives you a rock solid server, that will pull absolutly no suprises.
And your daily driver gives you a playground for what comes in the next upgrade.
