Okay I'm gonna be real, I joined a cult a while back. It didn't start as a cult but became one. Be really really careful who you become dependent on for housing. Trust your instincts. If someone suggests something horrible, racist, ableist, etc for basic stuff you need to evaluate carefully, I'm not saying don't accept criticism but make sure it's valid. I went ahead and ditched most of my friends and thought they were evil and did some things I wish I could take back. I drank the coolaid hard. I didn't realize until they started coming after me.
