A while back, a Mastodon friend invited me over to his house to sort out a bunch of machinist tools he'd inherited from a neighbor. I bought home a 1970's copy of The Machinist's Handbook (because I've never been willing to buy a new one) and was reading through it, and found stashed in the middle of it a bunch of photos of a charming middle-aged woman wearing a charming set of blue underwear. Used books: always interesting!

Graphotype, military version. These were typewriters that arranged type and then used it to emboss thin metal sheets, like a super-dymo.

I rarely find these in the Korean grocery, and have never seen one at Kroger's, so I had to get it. As it turned out, nobody at checkout had ever seen one before either, and despite it having a sticker, it wasn't in their database, but it did come home with me. Citron meringue pie, maybe.

Remote camera shutter to handlebar adapter bracket design in print in PLA. It uses a spring to snap a positive locating pin into a hole in the shutter. For a first draft print it's ok.

This giant flock of birds? These are geese. I've never seen this many in one place before. The sound they made was amazing. The fields were filled with them as well.
