Deleted my original comment about enjoying my AVP. Deleted all of my comment/post history, will probably delete this one too. Say one thing positive about Apple and lemmy comes in with the downvotes. Like going through my old posts and downvoting them is insane behavior. Go see a therapist because ya need help.
Don’t even dare saying anything positive on Lemmy about Apple, even if your comment is constructive and adds to the conversation. Lemmy’s tech community is somehow worse than Reddit unless you’re into Linux. Your comment doesn’t deserve the barrage of downvotes you got.
Nah that’s just too much disposable income. If you’re spending more than $200 on anything other than an old Thinkpad to run Linux on, you’re too rich /s
I mean, does your computer even have a nipple? Didn’t think so. Apple would never be bold enough to #freethenipple 😔
I’m sure all 19 people are downvoting them for that one sentence and not the usual downvotes for something pro-Apple. OP put more effort into their comment than most people on here despite that being a dumb take on a MacBook.
I’d agree with OP if it were the old Airs because that’s really all you could use them for before they froze up. Definitely overpriced new though, especially on their entry models. Can’t really expect Apple not to ask for loads of money from their customers because, well, they will pay it.
There’s something kind of fucked up about a coin dedicated to a famous slave who helped rescue slaves owned by rich people being made for effectively wealthy collectors. Can’t believe we get this instead of her on a $20
Fully agree. I’m still livid that my teacher assigned to defend Jackson in a middle school history debate where we portrayed different presidents. Part of your grade was based on how well you polled after the debate or something along those lines. It’s been a while lol.
Like how the fuck you defend the Trail of Tears? And worse, how do you make a child have to logic through that? The teacher straight up said he was one of the greatest presidents we had because it ended up being a “net positive” overall and he eliminated the national debt. I think that assignment was what finally shattered my view of this country and our education system as a whole.
Oh my goodness I’m so sorry. I used to work with dementia patients in college and it runs in my family. Thankfully I’ve seen patients who’ve lived for a decade or two after being diagnosed. Although time and quality of life depends on the diagnosis and treatment success along with other health factors. Frustratingly, brains are complicated so research isn’t moving fast enough.
If you are taking medications to mitigate symptoms or delay the onset I hope they help and that your outlook is long. Just don’t stop taking them without talking to your doctor first, even if it doesn’t seem like they help much. My uncle deteriorated quickly because he thought the meds weren’t helping and quit without telling anyone.
Wish I could hug you or help or something. Try to stay positive as much as you can and I hope for the best possible outcome for you.
Literally what are you talking about besides the handful of gimmicks they restrict to new models?
They have phones that get consistent major updates for like 5-6 years. The 6S came out in 2015 and only stopped getting major updates like two years ago. And if you had iOS 12 on a phone you still got a security update this year. Which means the iPhone 5S, which came out in 2013, got an update a decade later. Not a single Android device I have ever owned has that unless I flash my own rom.
Wow what a shit comment. It’s like you ignore things like API and feature updates across major releases that apps beyond the stock Apple ones get to take advantage of. Which again, are averaging 5 years of support.
Idgaf what OS someone uses. I love tech, I use a bit of everything. I fucking love Android and all the flexibility it gives me. Grow the fuck up.
What happens when you try to use it? That’s very at odds with the documentation so I’d wonder if you’d need to log a support case with them or something.
Based on your comment and post history you want to talk about politics but with people who agree with right-wing opinions. Maybe go to exploding-heads.
Garmin’s very solid at keeping your info private from most third parties. Should be safe from anything outside of a valid law enforcement request as long as you aren’t syncing with another service.
