it's scary how "liberal youth" online evolved. today, I saw someone's post where they talked about their growth and how they cut off toxic people and try to maintain only "symbiotic relationships" in their life.

toxic people they meant were people without goals for the current year.

I might be dramatically overestimating the mental shift I’ve been experiencing lately since coming out of another depression, but today was the first day in a long while that I’ve looked at my stomach in the mirror and said, “Hi tummy, I love you.”

All it took was getting back to running again.

Exercise gives you endorphins. Endorphins make you happy.

The math is mathing.

This sprain added years on my life I now need to shave back through light (and eventually) moderate exercise. Wearing an ankle brace for the foreseeable future. At least I can play softball again this Sunday. Hopefully. Afternoon walks have been much easier to handle this week, and no more pain. Thank goodness.

This week has been made of the utmost fuckery. My phone was stolen off my person Saturday, and on Sunday I sprained my ankle badly during our weekly softball game. I'm going to be out of play at least two weeks. I'm so used to feeling useful but these last few days have been torture. Stolen phone wouldn’t feel as bad if not for all our engagement photos and the many memories before and in between that are now lost forever. 😔

@shippychaos whoever stole it from my purse immediately put it in airplane mode and Find My became unusable. Within an hour it was wiped clean from my Apple account. They knew what they were doing and hit at least 20 other people at the same event. So frustrating 😔

seeing Poles abroad queueing for hours in front of polling stations gives me some hope, but I also know that they'll do everything to not count those votes.

@shippychaos As much as I love binging when time permits, I prefer weekly episodes for the impact it has on fandom communities. The time in-between allows for fans to discuss plot arcs & characters, theorize what’s to come, and it inspires creativity within ff & fanart, allowing new fans to enter the space along the way while episodes get released. I think the all-episode method has negatively impacted this cycle because it leaves little time for that, now reduced to between seasons.

Let it be known that on this fine day, September 30th, 2023 my partner has finally tolerated AND enjoyed Grey’s Anatomy.

And it only took getting to the end of S2 to make this happen. 🤣

@reginasbread It’s not that she doesn’t love the drama in the show (because she does). It’s the notion that the show occurs in a hospital setting. Which she doesn’t like and usually makes her squeamish but she wanted to change that and see if that would change. 😅
