soyagi,

Maybe an unpopular opinion, but you can use Google Maps without GPS and in Incognito mode, and you can watch YouTube without being logged in and/or not saving your watch history. You’re in complete control over the info you give Google. You can fully enjoy their services without the ickyness you described.

soyagi,

Oh, definitely. I know it’s an unpopular opinion, but there’s room for a middle ground between selling your soul to Google and avoiding their services like the plague.

soyagi,

Hello :) I think the phrase you are looking for is “notification anxiety”. If you Google that you’ll find a lot of information, experiences, and advice.

soyagi,

No lie, there was a game that literally featured Chopin (the composer you see there as a statue) as a cosplaying twink.

soyagi,

Thanks, I joined and posted the article there as well :)

soyagi,

What has made you decide you won’t take some time off work?

soyagi,

This is a really interesting extra bit of information to this story, thank you!

soyagi,

While it’s not Photoshop, Photopea is free and has such features. It runs in the browser and doesn’t require an account or lock features behind a paywall or subscription.

soyagi,
soyagi,

Yes, I feel pleasure when lifting weights. It’s good to feel powerful, and it’s good to feel like I’m getting stronger. I also get pleasure from knowing I can do it and that I’m dedicated and can keep up the routine. So I suppose it’s mostly mental pleasure, but physically having that feeling of power is great at the very least.

soyagi,

Living like that sounds very harmful to ones mental health. Sometimes people can’t improve despite trying and trying, and being told there’s no point in living without improvement would just help people that are already depressed justify their thoughts on not being alive any more.

soyagi,

I’ll give a bit of a different view. I don’t think it’s always a great thing to dream big. In fact I think it can be harmful to us at times. It’s not just about struggling to break things down into smaller parts or finding the time. Some things just can’t/won’t be done successfully for all kinds of reasons.

Big dreams often need cooperation with others, resources beyond our means, etc. Breaking things down into smaller parts won’t make these issues easier. If we could all raise millions for our business ideas, for example, we would. Some photos try and try and try to chase their dreams and goals for years, and never succeed or even get close.

Dreaming big isn’t bad, but keeping your expectations grounded to reality is an unfortunate necessity for your own well-being.
