This Braille Sense Polaris is so laggy and slow. I don't know how Emma used it for so long. TTS crashes in the middle of reading, braille output jumps more than a line at a time with no warning given. Sometimes the device just fully hard resets while working. I have an APH mantis but am finding I Need a few more features it just doesn't have if I am going to be going to and from school 4 times a week. I want basic email and web browsing. I want to be able to read my college text books without the mantis saying hey. We can't open this file because it is way bigger than we support. I am trying to get a braille sense 6 but no luck so far as the comission for the blind in Oregon is just, I can't find the word and thinks they know what I need better than I do. Oh. And the way they tested me on what I know? Had a guy call me who has never used a braille display, is still using windows vista and uses jaws with all hints enabled and speech rate at 30 percent. This guy had never heard of NVDA until I mentioned it and warned me to not install it on the system that the commission bought for me as that would void the terms of our agreement. Just, come on guys. I know what i Need better than you do at this point. Maybe I should see if the Comission is hireing? Seriously. Jane insert last name here who works at the local Medford office? Fuck you. You are nothing but a bully and... This post is public I should be somewhat nice. But this lady said I wasn't doing everything by her books so litterally took me out of my local city's comission for the blind system and threw me 3 hours away. So if I Need local help? Too fucking bad. I need local O&M? Too bad. Kathlene is wonderful but really hard to communicate with when it takes her up to three weeks to finally reply to an email. How can anyone work like this? Seriously. Jane at the local office told me give up on music, stop playing because it won't make me money as a blind person. She said I was unhealthy and couldn't go to school. She said I couldn't figure out the local bus system. Well guess what little miss Jane. I am not giving up on music and you may see me on spotify very soon. I am in fact going to school and start my second term of classes next Monday. And I've taken the local bus at least 10 times in the last 2 days. I think I'll be fine. Maybe I should take the bus to your office and surprise you? Wait no. That'd mean I have to see you and I still have so much anger and rage inside at how you treated me, my partner and my current comission case. Anyway. Why am I typing all of this? I need food.

@simon Yeah. You're not wrong. Sadly I can't do much as she's no longer doing anything at all with my case. But Emma needs to report her. We've been saying as much for months and her mom has been saying it for years. But sadly Emma just puts up with all of it. She says she wants to close her case but when she is in front of jane jane makes her feel so small and backs her into corners. You know Jane told emma the perfect job for emma would be reading braille all day? Fucking really? As smart as Emma is and you want to put her in a room reading braille? No. She also told me that the most success I would likely find here in Oregon was if I went into filling vending machines. Nothing else would work for me.

@simon Emma's mom finally one day had enough of how Jane was treating me. So she called Janes boss. Funny thing is... That next Monday? Jane was no longer my commission worker and had shipped me and my case off to Eugene Oregon

@simon So I think Emma has been scared to report Jane because if jane lets her go there is litterally noone else who will take her case. Kathlene who I work with said she refused to take Emma's case because I am already a client of hers.

@simon I totally agree and have said as much to everyone. I wish I could get Emma to work harder on this. But she doesn't seem to want to. She at least has a meeting with Jane tomorrow in person. It either goes well or it doesn't.

I need to code some sort of system so that ASG can tell you the location of a link when pasted instead of just the raw link. I've seen almost every other mud do this but I have 0 clue how. IT seems you'd have to use curl to somehow grab the page title, store the title in a variable and then call it up later and string it nice and pretty? But I just don't know. I tried this last year and got nothing but tracebacks and really rude unhelpful comments from the toaststunt discord server. Obviously what I want to code is possible I just don't know how as of yet.

@simon My issue is I"d love to just see API code in moo. Then I think I could understand it. However the only place I could access code of that type is Chatmud. Chatmud pisses me off more than most code things so I stay away.

I am kind of surprised that the sonos roam can't do audio over USBC. It seems like such a simple thing. Yet nope. This is reason number 4 why I am resisting the urge to buy the new sonos move. Does anyone have it?

@simon In todays bullshit with the sonos roam. It's forgotten the network and now refuses to connect to anything. It's just become a paper weight. I've tried reconnecting at least 6 times. I fucking hate this network in this house. Shitty spekctrum that forces us to use their router and app. That gasp. No one knows the password to manage the network!

@ppatel @simon Nope. I can't do anything at all without the apps password. Trying to connect to 192.168.1.1 pulls up a generic ISP page that says "Hey. Get our app to manage your network." Cool. I have the app. But no one in this house knows the password to log in. I am the only one in this house other than my partner who gets ISP's and routers. But we can't get her mom to actually reset the password. We want to add a range extending device if not a whole mesh network. We can't even do that without logging into the ISP's app. Seriously. If I buy a third party router will this BS end? Will Specktrum notice it isn't a specktrum router and flip their shit? I don't know. Anyway, this rambly post was brought to you by my mind that needs weed gummies and food. I ramble when I need drugs and food!

@simon I know how to fix things to be better. But it is super out of my control. I try to talk to Emmas mom about it but she isn't concerned as she's hardly ever home and when she is it's just Netflix. I tried to ask if she'd reset the password as I needed to forward a port for class. She didn't seem interested and didn't understand why I Needed to do it. Eventually I just gave up and came to school campus.

@simon Emma is on my side. :) We're talking about it now. We're going to talk to mama this week. HOpefully even today. I mean, If I am running a server from home I need to be able to access router settings. Even if it is the spectrum router. Being able to add range extenders or even modify the firewall would be a huge huge plus. Dude. Every single device on that house is opperating on the 2.4ghz band. Lets fix that first or second thing.

@simon I could not see that they were missing. But the final grade shows that that is the reason. I am more frustrated because term isn't over until this Friday. So I could've had a week to fix it. But he closed the final and the course is now closed to me fully.
