steersman2484,

I guess if you have one of those fancy fridges where you can get cold water or ice. Some of them require a water connection

steersman2484,

Create your input for email and password with the id / name “email” and “password” and hide them with CSS. Then you create the real inputs with an id like “zipcode” or some other thing that would throw bots off.

Password managers hate this trick

steersman2484,

If you create an image of the disk in the current state from a live boot or an other machine. You can try fixing it without having to risk making things worse

steersman2484,

Most of them don’t go over 20kHz as this is the max a human can hear. The lowest 5G frequenzy is 450MHz, therefore no, even if you would use sound as a medium.

Yeah, it is a lot of initial work, but once you got your shell.nix or flake.nix in place it is really nice, to not have to deal with different dependencies and versions in different projects.

But you can also archive the same on any distro with the nix package manager.

steersman2484,

Switching to nixos?

Is there a way to stop and rename a mounted external drive (DAS set to raid5) so it does not change names every restart linux ubuntu

As title says I have a direct attached storage attached to a Linux machine (that used to be windows). Said raid system started as being called ./Raid and is now after 2 restarts of of the lap top it is now ./Raid2. Is there a way to make it not change names every time I do a restart. I did some looking online but don’t want to...

steersman2484,

Just mount it to a fixed location in /etc/fstab, but use a mount option like nofail or nobootwait (quick search showed that this is the option for ubuntu users), so your machine still boots when the drive is not connected

steersman2484,

Ackchyually humans have 10 fingers, indexed 0 to 9

steersman2484,

Just use any distro you like and install the packages you need. Done.

steersman2484,

I always use 99% Isopropyl alcohol for stuff like this

How crucial texting is to modern dating

I am 23 and I am currently in the dating scene. I’ve had no success and I’ve had the fourth person lose all interest in between setting up the date and the long wait between the date. It typically goes match on dating site, set up date, try to get to know each other over snap and then interest lost. I do tend to respond...

steersman2484,

I feel you bro and I’m not on the spectrum

Depends on the country you live in and the legislation. Also it is possible that you or your parents signed something to give them consent.

    steersman2484,

Please put your code between tripple backticks in a seperate line above an below your code. Single backticks are only for inline code like this.

To answer your question, the %.2f means it should only print two digits after the decimal point.

You can also use some other variations like this:

    • %2f print the number at least 2 characters wide
    • %5.2 print the number at least 5 characters wide with a precision of two digits after the decimal point
    • %05.2 the same as above, but fill leading digits with zeros

This is just formatting, play a bit around with it and you will get it.

    steersman2484,

If it brings me a few minutes more battery life on my steamdeck, it is worth it

But you can just change the default download location to /tmp on firefox. Or you can choose ask me every time and set /tmp as your favorites, then you can reach it with a single click.

I don’t know if this fits your use case

    steersman2484,

This was the sender email: notification@email.meta.com

And all links point to meta.com, so no phishing

    steersman2484,

I did everything you included in your first paragraph.

I could try again but I don’t know if this makes any difference, at least I read a simmilar story on reddit some time ago. If I remember correctly it was about a person who got banned on Instagram and therefore he was not able to get his data deleted.

    steersman2484,

Depends on your provider, theoretically you could also send a few gigs
