Instagram’s interface for videos is unacceptably poor. Can only silence. No pause, so start over. I like sharing stuff to people next to me and this is the worst video interface of them all.

I built my first video interface in 1988 for the Voyager Videostack in HyperCard and we actually made an interface usable by humans.

This crap is inexcusably bad.

@christianselig As a brand new 3D printer person (two prints!) I was looking at your files. PrusaSlicer does not like the 3mf at all, so I opened the stl for the pringle. Is this how you meant to print it? If I have it flat, the supports underneath are a massive amount heh

How does one easily reply to an email sent to a hide my email address without exposing my actual email in the reply. On iOS it will let me choose an address for any of my accounts or crate a brand new hidden proxy which I don’t want to do on every reply.

Ordered! Bought 512gb because I am dumb. Did not buy AppleCare. At $500 it’s getting so damned pricey. Maybe I will change my mind.

Ordering failed twice as the time slot I chose was no longer available. A lot of PDXers buying I guess! I ended up mid-afternoon on the 2nd. #VisionPro

I went to appleid dot Apple dot com. Safari offered to log me in with saved credentials. I canceled that and selected “log in with another Apple ID”

Upon entering my email address, I received the option to log in with a passkey.

@siracusa @caseyliss @marcoarment are you aware of this may 1 ITMS-91053 missing API declaration requirement Apple has? We have to declare why we are using a category of APIs but they didn’t tell us which specific apis so it a a haystack hunt of finding symbols in frameworks with no obvious reason why the linker linked them, as well as updating SDKs to get signed, manifested versions, along with whatever side effects of a SDK bump.

Seems like a good topic for how Apple works.

Creating a Flickr account in Safari on #VisionPro was a bad experience. It took a number of hoops to get it to generate a Hide My Email, and then in the password field, iCloud Keychain offered to create a password, but did not fill in the account field. So I had to go back and copy/paste that.

I am using iCloud Keychain because there is no 1Password support and I want to see what the typical user would see.

I cannot see them in HomeKit other than as a sub-accessory to the thermostat, so I cannot ask “is the front door open”

lol I set up HomeKit to detect motion in the smart camera and turn on the lights.

The lights going off is detected as motion and they come right back on.
