I am an expert #VisionPro light seal scanner now. I have decided that you should scan yourself about one foot from a solid color wall. I get consistent results (the same as ordered) when doing that.

When sitting in my tan leather chair, I get 21w to 33w, on back to back scans. I think the color or close proximity of the chair confuses the Lidar and maybe the color is cutting away parts of my face.

Either way, gray wall is very consistent.

I really hope Apple didn't pair lenses to this #VisonPro hardware to keep third parties locked out. That's something I'd be on the other side of the courtroom about. This is about accessibility.

Serial numbers are fine. Zeiss wants to track quality, returns, all of that stuff. Maybe the "code" allows Zeiss to transmit prescription information to the headset via Apple to aid in setup?

Sigh. Technology.

I filed a feedback about my erratic eye tracking on my #VisionPro and got some useful information:

“Unfortunately, the artificial lenses that are implanted during a Cataract surgery can sometimes cause interference with Apple Vision Pro’s eye tracking. This can manifest in unstable, or erratic tracking and highlighting.”
