If grandma soils the bed, and a nurse comes in, cleans her up, changes the sheets, reassures her that it's ok, moves the IV pole to the far side of the bed where it won't get snagged, then calls doctor to ask if we can change her lasix from PM to AM so she won't have to pee so much at night, none of that is billable, it 's all money lost. #nurselife
I'm pretty sure (er, fairly sure?) that SCOTUS will rule that Presidents do not have god/king-like lifetime immunity from prosecution. What I'm more interested in is this: will it be a unanimous decision? Who will dissent, and what is their argument? Will anybody recuse themselves, Clarence Thomas? #scotus#trump#Uspolitics
@tersenurse No recusals, they don’t see a conflict.
Trump will lose 7-2, and the majority will agree that there’s no immunity because these were not official acts. According to the Constitution, the President has zip-all to do with election results.
Thomas will write something incomprehensible and whiny. Alito will point to something in the 17th century convincing him these are official acts and immune.
But, if the Appeals Court writes a good opinion, it will be denied cert by SCOTUS.

I took my son climbing in the Gunks for the 4th time on Sunday. We did a route called Gelsa. He panicked on the top part of the route, which is very exposed. He left all my gear still in the rock. We made it to the top just as it became pitch black, and walked back to the car in the darkness. By the time I rapelled the route the next morning, all my climbing gear had been removed. $600 or $800 of gear gone that I can't really afford to replace. #gunks #rockclimbing#climbing

I ran a 5k yesterday. My gps watched crapped out on me, and the official results haven't posted, but my time was something like 30:11. Which was GREAT for me. I hadn't run in almost a month d/t inured ankle. I would like to run a sub-30 5k, and be able to do a 10k without ruining my body. #running

@WTL@tersenurse Yes to all of this, and especially number 3. I’ve been working on improving my distance (from my typical 4-6 mile range to periodic 8+ milers). That has necessitated focusing on things other than speed, and it is slowly working… And yes, it helps to post and get good comments from Mastodon folks!
@GottaLaff My initial thought was that it's fine, the case is so bulletproof that unless Cannon literally believes that Trump is by definition incapable of wrongdoing we don't have anything to worry about. Um, er, uh....
