theComposer,

Great game. The sequel, Survivor, is also really good, some technical issues aside.

theComposer,

If you feel that way about the prequels, just wait until you see the sequel trilogy.

theComposer,

Elixir. It was strange at first, but once I got the hang of it I fell in love. It’s a really well thought out language with just the right amount of features, has surprisingly good libraries, and is just really versatile.

theComposer,

Surely there’s a better source for this than sasktoday.ca. Why are they writing articles about California rental bills?

theComposer,

I’m surprised MegaCrit decided to make a straight sequel, even keeping some of the same characters and cards, considering the original game is already so good. I hope this means they’ve got enough new ideas to redefine the game and the genre it created, and not just be an expansion or shallow remix of StS’s content.

theComposer,

Interesting, I feel that didn’t come through in the movie at all. Also, didn’t the Harkonnens already have control of the spice after the betrayal in Part One?

theComposer,

Ah cool, that makes a lot of sense now. Without going into all that detail however, I agree with the original comment that they shouldn’t have spent so much time introducing Feyd-Rautha, or should have introduced him in the first movie. As is, it was a lot of screentime that never pays off, except for being cool looking I guess.

theComposer,

I’m OOTL, what did Redis change that’s led to a bunch of competitors?

theComposer,

Nah, it’s correct. The series that Fallen Order and Survivor are a part of is officially called the Star Wars: Jedi series. Yes, they are ignoring the fact that other “Jedi” games exist, but it kind of makes sense to me since those games are much older.

theComposer,

I felt exactly the same about Hollow Knight. I’m worried Silksong (whenever it comes out) will lean even more into the difficulty of late-game HK.

What can you get to within a 15-minute walk of your house?

A recent YouGov survey asked Americans what they think they should be able to get to within a 15-minute walk of their house.

Of these choices, I can currently walk to all of them from my apartment, aside from a university (no biggie, I'm not currently studying, although there is a Tafe within walking distance), a hospital, and a sports arena.

How many can you get to with a 15 minute walk from your house?

theComposer,

It’s possible to be in favor of and promote convenience and efficient urban planning and also personal privacy. It’s also possible to build a “15-minute city” without Digital ID.

theComposer,

I’m glad it worked out for your friend! However, I’ve got to know, why did they choose to pursue Finance of all things if they didn’t like math??

theComposer,

🌍👨‍🚀🔫👨‍🚀

Always has been.

theComposer,

I just beat this in two sessions yesterday, it’s very very good. The puzzles are much more involved and clever, but even more cleverly designed so that you can’t get stuck and usually have some ideas of what to do.

theComposer,

Or best of all

“I’m too lazy to watch the video and would rather be contrarian in the comments”

theComposer,

Spanish Sahara is the one that gets me. That ending absolutely crushed me.

theComposer,

I’m still confused about this game. Is it truly an MMO where hundreds of players will be running around the main towns? How will the game handle all these players romancing the same characters, for instance?

Or is it like other multiplayer survival games where it’s just you and your friends sharing a persistent world?

Most emotional moments in games? (SPOILERS)

Just for the heads up, this thread will probably have a lot of spoilers. I’m gonna try to go vague on spoilers for anybody that hasn’t played Hotline Miami 2. If you’ve played the game, you’ll probably know what I mean, but I’m going to say some purposefully esoteric shit to keep it out of full spoiler territory....

theComposer,

All of The Last of Us (Part I), but especially the prologue, the ending, and the DLC.

The end of Telltale’s The Walking Dead: Season 1.

The end of Life is Strange, but only if you choose Bay.

theComposer,

I can’t believe no one has mentioned The Last Clockwinder yet. It’s a automation puzzle game in which you create clones of yourself and get them to all work together. It’s not too hard to progress in but makes it easy to try to optimize your solutions if you want. The theming and story is cozy too. Really great game!

theComposer,

Since when do you need brakes for Royal Raceway?

theComposer,

Musk is an idiot, but he is not all of SpaceX. The company has responded to astronomers’ complaints about albedo and made numerous improvements to reduce the impact of their satellites. I would hope they do the same with this radiation issue.
