thejoker954,

Gotta play dominos with them. Everytime one pops up- knock em dead. I mean down. Wink wink.

thejoker954,

Anywhere between about 45 - 70F with the sun out.

Night time low humidy and 55 - 75F and maybe a light breeze. (The lower end of temp is more about nostalgia than comfort)

In the higher range (somwhere around 60-70F) a nice breeze as well.

Low humidity 50% or less.

thejoker954,

Society sucks.

There are some great benefits, but it just feels like it’s doing more harm than good.

thejoker954,

At my current job, people keep remarking how fast I unload a truck.

I just laugh to myself. I’m not fast - I just work at a steady pace and utilize efficient methods.

I know and have know plenty of people that can move faster than me but its almost always at the expense of their quality.

I just see no reason to be ‘the fastest gun in the west’ if you can’t hit the broadside of a barn.

thejoker954,

Somehow Mexico’s wall would be racist and an affront to American “Freedoms”.

The right would be calling for war before the first brick was laid.

thejoker954,

Shit, I feel like a Ninja when I step on leaves and they don’t make noise.

thejoker954,

Linux learning curve is definitely steeper than windows - at least for ‘the basics’.

Simply because of terminal commands. Thats a lot of info to learn and maintain just to do ‘basics’.

Yeah you can search and find what you need to do, but again that’s a lot of work for someone who just wants things to work.

Windows pretty much holds your hand to get the ‘basics’ up and running.

thejoker954,

Nugget looks they they are gonna sleep hard later.

Adorable.

thejoker954,

That sounds more like your pup isn’t used to it more than they can’t deal with it.

thejoker954,

I know its silly, but personally I’d prefer my emergency vehicles (Especially a beast like a fire truck) to be some of the last converted to electric.

thejoker954,

The glossyness is what icks me out the most.

thejoker954,

He did such an amazing job.

The arm swing is such a subtle thing he does, yet it really sells that he’s an alien who’s built different than a human (or most other humanoid aliens in trek which are too human like)

thejoker954,

Content? Not quite right but closer, maybe?

thejoker954,

I just saw the trailer yesterday, and was totally surprised.

I could have sworn it ended. Glad we get a wrap up.

Episode Discussion | Star Trek: Discovery | 5x10 "Life, Itself"

LoglineSeries Finale. Trapped inside a mysterious alien portal that defies familiar rules of time, space, and gravity, Captain Burnham must fight Moll – and the environment itself – in order to locate the Progenitors’ technology and secure it for the Federation. Meanwhile, Book puts himself in harm’s way to help Burnham...

thejoker954,

That was an episode of Discovery for sure.

Honestly it was kinda crap throughout.

The fight between Burnham and Mahl was rough.

And that ending. It was both a let down for various reasons and rather fucked up too for what they did with Zora (I guess to tie into Calypso or just get rid of the spore drive?)

To me I’m gonna miss the potential this show had more than the actual show we got.

thejoker954,

Its been a while but didn’t Daniel’s break bad in Enterprise?

Furiosa's Box Office Opening Explained: What The Hell Happened With The Mad Max Prequel?! (screenrant.com)

Furiosa’s opening weekend numbers have been a point of discourse for many trades after its release. As reported by The Hollywood Reporter, Furiosa slumped to a $26 million gross between Friday, May 24, and Sunday, May 26. However, Furiosa was released over the Memorial Day weekend, taking its estimated domestic total to...

thejoker954,

Personally I’m not a huge fan of prequels. They tend to have little to no stake for me.

I know where most if not all the pieces fall.

thejoker954,

Yeah, I searched for hiking and backpacking to replace my equivalent subreddits and just crickets everywhere.

While it’s a good idea, things are a little too decentralized right now.

There are lots of communities that are just stealing users from each other.

I’ve no desire to be joined to 17 ‘different’ communities with maybe a few dozen members each and content that is mostly crossposted between those same communities.

‘Dawn of the Dead’ Star Gaylen Ross Recalls the Chaos of Shooting George Romero’s Zombie Classic: ‘Nobody Got Killed’ (variety.com)

To commemorate that anniversary, “Dawn of the Dead” returns to theaters, including a handful of shows — including on May 24 at Los Angeles’ Orpheum Theatre — featuring a live performance of the film’s original score by Claudio Simonetti’s Goblin. Ross recently spoke to Variety to discuss her role in what has now...

thejoker954,

While the newer movies are more cheese than good - the original trilogy (including the 90s remake of the 1st) holds strong.

thejoker954,

Man I remember seeing Paperhouse as a little kid on tv late one night spending the summer with my grandmother.

That shit was intense.

Although if I remember correctly there was a scene that was rather inappropriate that really had no need to be there (or filmed).

thejoker954,

They could have had him be an evil transporter clone or something :[

thejoker954,

Some of the best episodes were about his journey, but his arc (like a lot of the good arcs in voyager [year of hell]) was rushed through.

thejoker954,

I think there was some mention of her selves being connected by her, but I could totally be misremembering.
