In case you're wondering why I'm asking for more money (even though the current account balance is ~ € 1,300):

The are two long-term commitments that metalhead.club has made: The first one is to not let metalhead.club disappear from one day to the other. I committed to run the server for at least 3 more months after the first shutdown notice. (no need to worry - won't happen anytime soon ;-) )

The second is a yearly contract with our server location provider - worth ~ 160 € each month.

I am often asked for templates for emails aimed at inviting new users and bands to our metalhead.club.

While I can understand that it's easier to use a template, customize it if necessary and send it, I don't think it's particularly useful at the moment.

Because: Recycled texts wear out. Bands don't want to receive the same email 10 times under different names and don't want to feel like they're talking to a machine. Personal recommendations and personal communication are important.

Die beiden Headliner auf dem gestern Abend, Parasite Inc. und Vorga waren großartig. Genauso großartig wie das Festivalteam, die sich hier super um alles kümmern!

Das Ding hat es mir ziemlich angetan. Ist ziemlich genau das, was ich suche. Noch toller wäre natürlich, wenn das ganze dann auch noch in einem Mini PC Gehäuse für 2x 2,5" SATA Laufwerke wäre. Aber so geht's auch. Dann kommt halt mein RAID Gehäuse einfach via USB dran. Auch okay.

Der Preis an sich wäre mit ca 280 $ auch noch im Rahmen, aber mit Versand und Steuern und Zoll bin ich dann schon bei 370 $ 😢

@dunkelstern die Minisforum Geräte habe ich mir auch angesehen und war fast dabei, ein UN100L zu kaufen :)

Etwas schade, dass nur eine SATA SSD Platz hat und nicht zwei - denn sonst könnte ich auf das externe Gehäuse verzichten. Es scheint generell keine Geräte (mehr?) mit 2x SATA bei Minisforum zu geben.

Aber zur Not wird es dann halt wieder das externe Gehäuse. Danke für deinen kurzen Erfahrungsbericht! Das hilft bei der Entscheidung.

Vllt wird es dann auch ein UN100L. ..
