For the last 2 weeks I've been running a "fun to play around with" Glitch-soc Mastodon instance on a former work laptop that they didn't want back :bloblaugh:

Purged Windows and setup Linux server, attached a SSD and boom! Unfort the disk is only ~300GB is not much wiggle room

It's running quite smooth, except for some 'DNS issues' at the start, maybe IP ban or something🤔Been using my single letter domain 'u.fail' for this btw if anyone is interested

Think we'll go with Glitch on mstdn soon

I continue to believe Zigbee delivers on the important things that Matter and Thread keep promising, but actually:

• mature
• widely available
• affordable

The one thing Matter over Thread devices can claim is that they work without a hub… except they don’t; the hub still has to be built into your Nest display, Apple HomePod, etc.

I have hundreds of low power, local-only smart devices from a dozen or so brands and it all… just works together.

@cassidy Do you have any more information about your setup? I've been thinking about getting some Zigbee devices. Currently, I use Home Assistant with mostly ESPHome devices on WiFi. To start, I would like to setup some temperature sensors and perhaps a few lights.

Picked up the Gamesir Nova Lite controller, excuse the stupid bedroom pic, but it’s cheap and really good. 2.4g, plug and play on Stean Deck. Perfect for when docked.

@thelinuxcast Is it possibly a memory issue? Sounds like Proxmox could be running into an OOM state and killing the VM.

It's been a few months since I last ran Proxmox.
