Are we just ignoring the fact that The Doctor on Voyager was a walking, talking violation of the temporal prime directive? I mean sure, you can say it's just a little holo-emitter from the future, but he used it to free a whole civilization of holographic life forms, drastically changing the timeline...

Do any electronics buffs know how/if I could buy a small number of very small, custom color e-ink displays somewhere? Is there any company that let's you specify desired dimensions of the display?

@danielpunkass if it exists you can find it on Alibaba. And if you find something that is "perfecT" but has no documentation and needs to be reverse-engineered, I know a guy.

@danielpunkass for custom displays most manufacturers want assurance of order size, so best to stick with an off the shelf for prototyping.

    “Blaze your Glory” is such an odd tagline for Twitter.

    To me it evokes “Go out in a blaze of glory” which hints at the reality that Musk is destroying the Twitter brand, userbase, and value in as public and dramatic a way as possible.

    It’s an unexpected level of introspection into his own actions.

    @tonyarnold mostly yeah. They were able to turn their heads and had hair. But this is pretty much a rewind to TNG / DS9 look.

    I'm intrigued by SmartWool running shirts, particularly because all my synthetic running shirts stink so bad, immediately after I put them on. I noticed some shirts are 100% wool and some haver a synthetic mix. Which is better?

    @danielpunkass 100% wool will fall apart quickly in the thinner weights. For those , the mix will hold up better. Wash all wool with a wool wash. I've used kookaburra wash and have wool shirts that have lasted 15 years.
