Am I right that Karlsruhe has not a single bus, tram or regional train direct to France?

Yes, there are TGVs/ICEs Karlsruhe-Strasbourg
There is a bus from Rastatt to Soufflenheim
There is a train from Wörth am Rhein to Lauterbourg

But I can find no Nahverkehr Karlsruhe-France

Is that right @simonschre @ummels @PGLux @lewd ?

Faszinierend. Es gibt einen Preisaufschlag für den DB Navigator beim Ticketkauf. Das ist eine Stichprobe, gerade, per Zufall entdeckt, weil sich ein Ticket nicht im Navigator buchen ließ. Nur zwei Euro. 2. Kl. mit BC25. Da Automaten-Sparpreise aber abgeschafft werden… Es gab übrigens auch mal Preisunterschiede zwischen Next DB Navigator und DB Navigator zur Einführung.

Das selbe am Automat: 79,55 Euro.

@jon Well, right now the problem is that SNCF is lacking drivers who are allowed to drive trains over the border and will probably not recruit or train new ones since the tender for operations from 2026 onwards has not been awarded yet.

@jicka @jon Yes, the TGV reverses in Freiburg, so when it does not reach Freiburg in the evenig, it cannot go back the next morning. But as Jon said, the TGV now runs via Offenburg.

774 fährt auch im neuen Fahrplan nach Berlin. Früheste Ankunft Hamburg umsteigefrei ab Mannheim auch im neuen Fahrplan 12:14 Uhr. Das schmerzt und ist schlechter als früher.
