As many others here, I have accumulated a bit of a "backlog" over the years, consisting of games that were cheap to pick up on sale, games that I have/had general interest in, or new game releases. Whenever a new game came out, I felt kind of urged to play the new game, drop everything else, and quite often end up not picking up...
Sadly, only around 40ish fps on a base model but very cool nonetheless. The framerate and semi-smoothness kinda puts it in an uncanny valley territory for me since it looks smoother but also not smoother at the same time coming from PS5 performance. Lies of P runs a lot better in comparison even though it’s graphically more demanding, I assume
Actually not anymore. There’s been a recent breakthrough that led to a new exploit up to 11.00 being possible now. 11.00 is from, like, late 2022 I think? Obviously not an option if your PS4 has been in regular use recently, but I lucked out and got an 11.00 console from a friend of mine who hadn’t been using the PS4 for a while.
If you’re on a newer firmware, there is no way of reverting back to 11.00, unfortunately, unless you’re up for some soldering.
I don’t really mind spiders, so I was good. Moreover, I was really fascinated with her (lore) as I was listening to the Paleblood Hunt in tandem when I wasn’t playing the game. The fight itself was just really annoying and difficult for me at first.
The rest of the game also wasn’t as scary to me even though it very well could have been. The only actually “scary” part after that was right after you enter the real Workshop in this cathedral or church where there’s absolutely no light whatsoever and a bunch of wolves lurking around. I got goosebumps a couple of times, but the scary factor wears off once you get killed there a couple times lol
It was a little faster for me overall, but I had to take a four-year break from the game until I tried again. Killed Father Gascoigne and the Cleric Beast, then didn’t have the stomach to continue the game because I was too spooked out to play lol. Finished the game plus DLC in around a year
Oof on the hundred deaths. I could very well see myself have that happen to me
I found it quite awesome, but I think I didn’t really get it the first time around. Only after exposing myself to more of the lore (Paleblood Hunt or YouTube) was that I grasped what was happening
Yahargul was an experience indeed. I think I got there naturally whilst exploring though. I for sure hadn’t encountered the church woman you meet down there until after I wanted to get the platinum
Just a reminder we are the future of social media. (lemmy.world)
