If AI leads to interfaces being turned from clickable elements into generic chat interfaces and you have to converse in order to get anything done -- and I bet that will happen to a degree --, I will stop using computers entirely.
Enums: backed by a table or not? Store strings or ints?
I'm team NOT backed by DB, store strings. Looking at data backed by int vals 1 or 2 or 50 doesn't mean anything and migrations aren't worth whatever safety folks think they're getting.
@ado I initially stored them as int, but sometimes I had to check or edit some data in the database and I always had to open the source code to look up the values. It was annoying. With strings I see right away what the enum value means
oh so w11 doesn't let you setup a computer at all without a microsoft account and if you don't have an internet peripheral it just doesn't let you through
