Enums: backed by a table or not? Store strings or ints?

I'm team NOT backed by DB, store strings. Looking at data backed by int vals 1 or 2 or 50 doesn't mean anything and migrations aren't worth whatever safety folks think they're getting.

What about you? What are tradeoffs here?

The leads and vocal harmonies come through on this Frozen Crown track!

I will say, the guitar is pretty sterile at the beginning of the track, and the drum production throughout is super flat. BUT, big hair DON'T CARE, don't we all just wanna jam on a snowy tundra?

Witherfall is a progressive / power metal band that pushes the envelope in similar direction as Iced Earth. The timbre in Joseph Michael's vocals, those piercing falsettos so full of breath, this is what metal can be. Sophisticated stuff.

It seems like "fancy Serif" is coming back as an aesthetic. It's showing up in corporate branding (Claude comes to mind) more and more.

Does this mean the era of lowercase serif logos is over? Right when flagstar finally rebranded? 🙀

As an aside, how the heck did the new KIA logo ever pass a sanity check? It clearly looks like KN.

Kimbra is an exceedingly versatile artist. "Vows" as an album is packed with creativity, including her cover of Nina Simone's Plain Gold Ring.

Honestly, I don't think most people should be covering Nina Simone. It's like a toddler climbing a pile of blankets, beating their chest and saying "I'm also Godzilla!"

Luckily, Kimbra shows up as a full-scale Geedorah, blasting powerful harmonies and jazz vocals.

My grandma would have been 101 years old yesterday. She died a long time ago and even though I was barely a teenager when she passed away, I genuinely think she was the best person I ever knew. I still think about her every day and the great times we had when we stayed with her during holidays.
